Timely detection is pivotal in managing these owing to their significant impact on organ function high mortality rates. The diverse array amyloid disorders, spanning localized manifestations, underscores the complexity conditions highlights need for advanced methods. Traditional approaches have focused identifying biomarkers using imaging techniques (PET MRI) or invasive procedures. However, recent efforts use metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), versatile class materials known unique properties, revolutionizing disease detection. porosity, customizable structures, biocompatibility MOFs enable integration biomolecules, laying groundwork highly sensitive specific biosensors. These sensors been employed electrochemical photophysical that target species under neurodegenerative conditions. adaptability allows precise quantification proteins, offering potential advancements early diagnosis management. This review article delves into how contribute detecting by categorizing uses based different sensing methods, (EC), electrochemiluminescence (ECL), fluorescence, Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET), up-conversion luminescence (ULRET), photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensing. drawbacks MOF biosensors challenges encountered field are also briefly explored our perspective.
