Carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel-fired power stations are attracting growing attention as a potential approach for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Post-combustion capture of CO2 with monoethanolamine (MEA) is one the most successful and mature technologies mitigating carbon The crucial problem this technique high heat requirement reboiler solvent regeneration. In study, seven different configurations capture, namely, standard absorption, vapor recompression, recompression process split-flow, absorption column intercooling, rich-split, combined, rich-split studied. simulation results showed that energy consumption intensity alternative lowered by 15.2 %, 18.4 2.9 7.4 20.3 23.2 respectively, regard to configuration. Seven were ranked based on total investment cost, steam consumption, water consumption. Combined best, Rich-split worst.
