Climatic and environmental issues have attracted considerable attention worldwide. Clarifying the interactions between urban land use efficiency (ULUE), industrial structure (IS), carbon emissions intensity (CEI) is of importance in promoting resource–economy–environment coordination. The temporal spatial characteristics ULUE, IS, CEI were analyzed based on panel data from 309 cities China 2006 to 2021. A PVAR model was established analyze long-term short-term dynamic causal relationships among three variables. showed an upward trend, but significant heterogeneity existed. variables had a cointegration relationship. Overall, ULUE positive effect IS promotional ULUE. bidirectional inhibitory effects CEI. This indicates that improving upgrading energy efficiency, reducing may be necessary measures mitigate impact human activities. These research results can provide theoretical policy support for coordination resources, economy, environment, achieving promotion high-quality green sustainable development.

As an important factor affecting ecological sustainability, the food industry’s efficiency (EE) deserves great attention and control. In 2013, China implemented a carbon emissions trading policy (CETP) to limit from various industries promote optimization of environment. To explore sustainability China’s industry, identify factors EE study influence heterogeneity influencing mechanisms, impact CETP on which emits high volumes greenhouse gasses, requires evaluation. Many scholars have studied policy’s effect perspective EE, but they ignored is main emitting sector, there lack analyses factors. This reviewed implementation process characteristics in past decades. Using provincial panel data 2003 2019, this measured industry through difference-in-difference model, evaluated emission reduction economic effects characterized effectiveness, analysed its mechanism using three-stage mediating regression. The results showed that (1) significantly affected increased by 38.3% average experimental provinces compared with non-experimental provinces. (2) For was most significant manufacturing tobacco subsectors, these subsectors 66.0% 39.7%, respectively; meanwhile, not agriculture subsidiary processing beverage manufacturing. By industrial area, were higher eastern region central western regions. close 150%, while regions, it significant. (3) promoted improving energy consumption structure technological innovation. proportion coal decreased 6.34% average, innovation level 25.1% provinces’ industries. research findings indicate CEPT good practice worth spreading. enterprises emissions, should be paid low-carbon transformation upgrading management optimization. policymakers, targeted policies are needed establish national unified market so can controlled, gap between regional narrowed.

This article applies the exergy analysis to production and use of sugarcane, considering a model published in literature. In this way, we compute incident solar irradiation, carbohydrate production, water consumption, stalks straws. Following estimate, analyze biorefinery cycle, from irradiation products on an basis, birth sugar, electrical energy, ethanol. The calculated sugarcane values are 80.7 tons per hectare for 52-week cycle. As result, average efficiency is 4.99%, reaching peaks 8.3%. When only useful generated straw, annual yield 17.86 kWh/m2 represents overall 1.31%. Considering energy conversion processes biorefinery, radiation was 0.38%. photovoltaic modules already have well-established application country, though they need increase their insertion over time, whereby panels exhibit 31.6%, resulting 255.84 kWh/m2. results show that more efficient alternative than regarding land use. conclusion, study briefly discusses context Brazil’s transition towards reduced dependence fossil fuels, based fact has low carbon footprint transportation using ethanol, with supply 40,000 stations, similar or lower vehicles used across country.
