Aging is a complex process marked by various changes at both cellular and systemic levels, impacting the functioning lifespan of organisms. Over time, researchers have pinpointed several significant hallmarks aging that lead to gradual deterioration tissue function, regulation, homeostasis associated with in humans. Despite this, intricate interactions cumulative effects these are still mostly uncharted territory. Understanding this web major challenge Geroscience, yet it crucial for developing effective strategies promote healthy aging, reduce medical costs, ensure sustainability health systems. Gaining insights area essential creating interventions can slow process, enhance healthspan, decrease likelihood age-related diseases. The integration knowledge from fields concerning middle-aging nitric oxide (NO)-mediated hypovascularity hypoxia hemodynamic hypothesis points systems-based approach biological aging. Key evidence suggests connection between endocrine system (specifically sex hormones), endogenous NO deficiency, vascular system, which serves as network microvascular structures perfusion functions level. These processes also involve oxidative stress inflammation triggered hypoxia.

Cancer-associated cachexia (CAC), also known as wasting syndrome, is a systemic condition that affects multiple tissues and organs via variety of metabolic pathways. Systemic inflammation, progressive weight loss, depletion adipose tissue, skeletal muscle impairment are some the hallmark features cachexia. Despite various studies on clinical CAC, complexity syndrome continues to pose significant challenges in practice, leading late diagnoses absence standardised treatment. Men women respond differently which may be prompted by pre-existing physiologic sex differences. This review presents sexual dimorphism associated with pathways involved CAC. A comprehensive understanding these could drive research prioritise inclusion more females related order achieve personalised sex-based therapeutic approaches and, consequently, enhance treatment efficacy better patient outcomes.

Aortic aneurysm is one of the causes cardiovascular disease-related death, posing a significant challenge to global healthcare. Understanding burden aortic crucial for formulating effective public health intervention policies and allocating resources. The study aims assess global, regional, national burden, trend, inequalities aneurysm. aneurysm-associated mortality, disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs), age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR), (ASDR), their average annual percentage change (AAPC) were estimated based on population-based study, Global Burden Diseases, Injuries, Risk Factors Study (GBD) 2021. was analyzed across 204 countries territories from 1990 2021, stratified by sex, sociodemographic index (SDI), further predicted 2045. ASMR decreased 2.54 per 100,000 population in 1.86 with an AAPC -0.99%. ASDR declined 48.79 36.54 -0.90%. most decline observed among males (-1.14% vs. -0.68% year). increased considerably, especially low-middle SDI (1.29% year), while it dropped particularly high (-1.65% Notably, though number DALYs continue rising, projected decrease annually from, values 1.92 40.38 2045, respectively. relative individuals since 1990, along prominent related ASDR. aneurysm-related higher those living regions SDI.

There are many sex-specific factors affecting myocardial infarction (MI) outcomes in males and females. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between reproductive cardiovascular women after ST-elevation MI. retrospective cohort was initiated 2016–2017 at Chamran Hospital, Isfahan, Iran. One hundred eighty with a diagnosis of MI were followed up for 3 years, any occurrence events (CVs) recorded. All information regarding recorded via questionnaire. compared without adverse using sample t test, chi-square multiple backward logistic regression analysis. Arthropod-borne viral diseases are acute febrile illnesses, sometimes with chronic effects, that can be debilitating and even fatal worldwide, affecting particularly vulnerable populations. Indigenous communities face not only the burden of these but also cardiovascular complications worsened by urbanization. A cross-sectional study was conducted in an population Northeast Region Brazil to explore association between arboviral infections (dengue, chikungunya, Zika) cardiac biomarkers, including cardiotrophin 1, growth differentiation factor 15, lactate dehydrogenase B, fatty-acid-binding protein 3, myoglobin, N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide, troponin I, big endothelin creatine kinase-MB, along clinical anthropometric factors. The included 174 individuals from Fulni-ô community, a median age 47 years (interquartile range 39.0 56.0). High rates previous exposure dengue, Zika were observed (92.5%, 78.2%, 95.4% anti-IgG, respectively), while (anti-IgM) remained low. biomarkers linked (especially elderly), obesity, kidney disease, or recent chikungunya.
