Abstract Dye wastewater is high‐concentration salt‐containing chemical wastewater. It contains numerous toxic pollutants that are difficult to degrade, and its direct discharge without treatment will cause serious environmental problems. Herein, ZIF‐8/GO adsorbent was prepared by the one‐pot method purify containing Congo red dye (CR). possessed an S BET of 70.252 m 2 /g, pore volume 0.036 cm 3 size 3.22 nm. Adsorption experiments were performed based on various parameters, such as pH, concentration, dose, temperature, salt concentration. The results showed adsorption capacity better than ZIF‐8 GO for CR, which process 0.1‐ZIF‐8/GO (10.0 mg) CR (50 mg/L) reached equilibrium in 60 min at 35 °C under high‐salt parameter (10 g/L NaCl). And maximum removal ratio up 98%. data fitted using Langmuir, Freundlich isotherm models pseudo‐first‐order, pseudo‐second‐order kinetics model liquid film diffusion model, intra‐particle model. indicated quasi‐second‐order kinetic more suitable describe ZIF‐8/GO. possesses a high it has promising applications salts‐containing

Chromium exists from both natural geological processes and human actions, it has a substantial impact on health ecosystems. This study addresses the major challenges in using biochar as an environmentally friendly, sustainable, economical sorbent for removing chromium hexavalent throughout remediation process. The results exhibited that produced non-woody feedstocks pyrolyzed at (300°C −700°C) significantly large amount of various functional groups, higher pH (7 to 11.10) CEC (27 21.70 cmol kg−1), greater surface area (2–300 m2g−1), O/C H/C ratios with increasing carbonization temperature, adsorption capacities (1.63 435 mg g) superior performance removal compared biochars woody-biomass. use equilibrium isotherm, thermodynamic, kinetic models aids comprehending interactions between biochar, well their processes.
