Metal nanoclusters (MNCs) have attracted widespread attention due to their unique subnanometer size, tunable fluorescence emission, and excellent biocompatibility. However, the enzyme-like activity optical properties of MNCs are rarely exploited simultaneously. Here, iridium (Py-IrNCs) with laccase-like were synthesized by reduction IrCl3 NaBH4 in presence pyrogallol. The laccase Py-IrNCs exhibited catalytic transformation 2,4-dichlorophenol (2, 4-DP) is substantially superior that natural laccase, which manifested fact amount was only 2.5% achieve same performance. In coexisting 4-aminoantipyrine (4-AP), a distinct color change quench observed; thus, sensitive colorimetric dual-mode determination 2,4-DP achieved linear range 0-40 μM limit detection 0.5 μM. detections can be mutually verified, effectively improved reliability analysis, demonstrating promising application potential pollutant determination.
