Abstract Digitalization is of great significance for resource‐based enterprises to break through the dual constraints resource and environment. Based on data China's A‐share listed enterprises, this study empirically examines direct effect transmission mechanism digital transformation enterprises' environmental performance. The finds that significantly enhances performance by stimulating green technology innovation, accelerating human capital accumulation, increasing information disclosure, strengthening governance. state‐owned, large‐size high‐tech more prominently affected transformation. In eastern region areas with higher regulation, impact significant. This provides targeted suggestions make full use dividends achieve high‐quality development.
