Atopic dermatitis (AD), a prevalent Th2-dominant skin disease, involves complex genetic and environmental factors, including mutations in the Filaggrin gene dysbiosis of microbiota characterized by an increased abundance Staphylococcus aureus. Our recent findings emphasize pivotal role barrier's integrity microbial composition infantile AD allergic diseases. ABSTRACT Facial skin is more exposed to the outside environment, and it usually affected by environmental factors. Characterization of microbiome metabolome individuals from different geographic regions will help understand factors behind prevalence disorders support skincare product development. In current study, volunteers northern, southern, northwestern China were recruited. samples collected for amplicon sequencing metabolomic liquid chromatography‒mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS) analyses. We demonstrated significant alterations in abundances multiple microorganisms lipid compositions between individuals. People living northwest, which has a dry climate high altitude, showed lower level total lipids, abundance Malassezia , but higher levels ceramides fatty acids. had positive correlation with eicosanoids negative ceramides.
