The phytochemical investigation of the whole plants Coelogyne fuscescens Lindl. var. brunnea led to discovery three new phenolic glycosides, i.e., coelofusides A–C (1–3) and 12 known compounds (4–15). For first time, we reported nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) data 4-O-(6′-O-glucosyl-4″-hydroxybenzoyl)-4-hydroxybenzyl alcohol (4) in this study. identification structures newly discovered was done through analysis their spectroscopic [NMR, mass spectrometry, ultraviolet, Fourier transform infrared, optical rotation, circular dichroism (CD)]. In comparison anticancer drugs (i.e., etoposide carboplatin), evaluated potential isolated on two different breast cancer cell lines, namely, T47D MDA-MB-231. Human fibroblast HaCaT cells were used as control cells. After a 48 h incubation, flavidin (8), coelonin (10), 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde (11), oxoflavidin (12) showed significant cytotoxic effects against Among them, exhibited most potent cytotoxicity MDA-MB-231 with an IC50 value 26.26 ± 4.33 μM. staining assay, induced apoptosis after both dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, upregulated expression apoptotic genes, such p53, Bax, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase, caspase-3, caspase-9 genes while significantly decreasing antiapoptotic protein (Bcl-2) levels.

Flavonoids are polyphenolic compounds widely occurring throughout the plant kingdom. They biologically active and have many medical applications. reveal chemopreventive, anticarcinogenic, antioxidant properties, as well being able to modulate immune system response inhibit inflammation, angiogenesis, metastasis. Polyphenols also believed reverse multidrug resistance via various mechanisms, induce apoptosis, activate cell death signals in tumor cells by modulating signaling pathways. The main limitation broader usage of flavonoids is their low solubility, poor absorption, rapid metabolism. To tackle this, combining with nanocarriers could improve bioavailability create systems wider functionalities. Recently, interest hybrid materials based on combinations metal nanoparticles has increased due unique physicochemical biological including improved selectivity toward target sites. In addition, further utilities, even initial step preparation nanomaterials. review offers knowledge multiple possibilities synthesis flavonoid-metal nanoparticle conjugates, presents some features such size, shape, surface charge, stability. discussed regarding properties potential

Although many part of human microbiome, pathogenic cause infections ranging from mild to severe. In recent years, identification multidrug-resistant has become a serious public health problem. The resulting call into question therapeutic capacity systems lead approximately 70,000 deaths annually worldwide. progressive resistance antibiotics antifungals been major challenge for medical pharmaceutical community, requiring search new compounds with antimicrobial properties. Several studies have demonstrated potential natural synthesized flavonoids, especially dimers these molecules. this review presented examples dimeric flavonoids that activity against viruses, like influenza Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), protozoal infections, Leishmaniasis Malaria, fungal by Candida albicans Cryptococcus neoformans, bacterial caused, example, Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli. pursuit find safe agents therapy in microbial an option not only activity, but also low toxicity usually associated when compared classic antimicrobials.

Cancer is a complex and multifaceted group of diseases characterized by the uncontrolled growth spread abnormal cells. While cancer can be challenging life-altering, advances in research development have led to identification new promising anti-cancer targets. Telomerase one such target that overexpressed almost all cells plays critical role maintaining telomere length, which essential for cell proliferation survival. Inhibiting telomerase activity lead shortening eventual death, thus presenting itself as potential therapy. Naturally occurring flavonoids are class compounds already been shown possess different biological properties, including property. They present various everyday food sources richly fruits, nuts, soybeans, vegetables, tea, wine, berries, name few. Thus, these could inhibit or deactivate expression mechanisms, include inhibiting hTERT, mRNA, protein, nuclear translocation, binding transcription factors hTERT promoters, even shortening. Numerous line studies vivo experiments supported this hypothesis, serve vital innovative therapeutic option cancer. In light, we aim elucidate target. Subsequently, illustrated how commonly found natural demonstrate their via inactivation types, proving naturally useful agents.

Overexposure to ultraviolet radiation mainly leads skin disorders (erythema, burns, immunosuppression), aging, and cancer as the most serious side effect. It has been widely accepted that using sunscreen products is an important way protect against harmful effects of UV rays. Although commercial sunscreens have constantly changed improved over time, there are emerging concerns about safety conventional, organic, filters due adverse on humans (such photoallergic dermatitis, contact sensitivity, endocrine-disrupting effects, etc.) well accumulation in environment aquatic organisms. This why natural compounds increasingly being investigated used cosmetic pharmaceutical sunscreens. Some these available, non-toxic, safer for use, considerable protective properties less effects. Plant-based such flavonoids can absorb UVA UVB rays possess antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory contribute photoprotection. Apart from flavonoids, other certain vegetable oils, carotenoids, stilbenes, ferulic acid also UV-absorbing properties. vitamins might be beneficial protection their antioxidant activity. Currently, much effort is being placed into obtaining extracts and/or essential oils from Cannabis sativa L. for specific therapeutic purposes or pharmacological compositions. These potential applications depend mainly on the phytochemical composition of oils, which in turn are determined by type C. and extraction method used to obtain oils. In this work, we have evaluated contents secondary metabolites, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD), addition total phenolic, flavonoids, anthraquinone content obtained using solid-liquid (SLE) supercritical fluid (SCF). Different varieties were chosen ratio THC CBD concentrations. Additionally, antioxidant, antifungal anticancer activities different cancer cell lines vitro. The results indicate that extracted SLE, with high CBD, phenolic compounds, exhibit a antioxidant capacity induce decrease viability tested breast line (MCF-7). observed biological attributed entourage effect, phenols flavonoids play key role. Therefore, it concluded right selection variety solvent SLE could be optimal oil develop natural agent.
