Smart charging increases renewable energy utilization and decreases the burden on electrical grid. However, its acceptance popularity among electric vehicle (EV) drivers reaches still low numbers. Therefore, we explore what prioritization of would be best for a targeted marketing campaign to primarily aim at most beneficial smart system. As score, use several simple measures plug-in duration prediction error, as assume that EV drivers' suitability varies based their predictability behaviour. To find these metrics computer simulations, where vary participation levels in charging. The median relative error provides significant results terms charged during off-peak price period.

Smart charging of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) can contribute to flexibility in power grids and help integrate renewable electricity. Tapping into this potential requires high user acceptance for smart corresponding tariffs. In paper, we analyze the preferences current BEV users, representing near-term adopters charging, different tariff design elements by conducting a discrete choice experiment with 689 participants Germany. doing so, (1) provide an overview users' preferences, (2) identify characterize groups substantial differences their (3) barriers implementation from perspective users. More specifically, find that cost savings along pricing scheme mode are most important elements, whereof pre-defined price corridor emergency grid bottlenecks safety buffer before applying preferred. We three groups, large share innovative adopters. Moreover, driving range or reluctance regarding data sharing represent adoption. Based on our findings, derive implications decision-makers policy industry.

ABSTRACT The large‐scale expansion of vehicle‐to‐grid (V2G) technology requires the full support electric vehicle (EV) users. However, existing studies lack a comprehensive review V2G acceptance, especially preferences and attitudes potential consumers. To this end, our study conducts systematic literature to understand acceptance behaviour explore its future research directions. By reviewing 87 related literatures, we obtain key information about adoption in terms publication trends, keywords, theories, contexts, methods, antecedents, decisions, outcomes. Results show that antecedents mainly influencing are those product (e.g., battery life EV flexibility), individual range anxiety risk awareness), economy costs). three most important decisions for intention join an aggregator, decision sign contract, willingness EVs. outcome with votes is impact on energy, particular by enhancing grid flexibility, efficiency, stability. In addition, context primarily focused United States, China, Netherlands, notable from other countries. Based these results, also further discuss directions acceptance.

One of the major challenges for widespread acceptance battery electric vehicles (BEVs) is availability charging infrastructure at home and link to distribution grid. The process design needs minimise impact on power grids, thus avoiding cost environmental grid expansion. Especially, in urban, densely populated areas, efficient, intelligent solutions are a chance prevent uncontrolled high number an amplification existing load peaks. This study based results project called URCHARGE (URban CHARGing), which largest field test date Austria investigated how control processes BEVs residential buildings. core objective this research investigate sustainable, future-proof buildings analyse towards almost 100% e-mobility private passenger car transport. dynamic greatly reduces capacity required BEV charging, successfully shifts times avoids Users hardly noticed these shifts, overall there was great satisfaction with process.

The current study investigates public intentions to use an innovative, off-grid renewably powered EV charging technology called FEVER (Future Electric Vehicle Energy networks supporting Renewables). We report the findings of a questionnaire-based survey (QBS) conducted at zoo in south England, exploring prospect demonstrating FEVER. QBS was designed around context-specific acceptance model (TAM) and administered both face-to-face (n = 63) online 158) from April May 2023. results indicate that most participants were willing pay FEVER, particularly where revenue would benefit zoo. agreed they intended chargers, be useful easy use. there normative pressure but their enjoyable. Of greatest concern chargers blocked by others. ambivalent about concerns over duration charge sufficiency. Structural equation modelling confirmed TAM explained 58% people’s intentions. core relationships confirmed, with ‘perceived usefulness’ additionally predicted subjective norms ease use’ anticipated enjoyment. other variables, only retained as marginal predictor use’. implications these for co-design demonstration are discussed.
