The electric vehicle (EV) revolution is sweeping the world, and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) no exception. Despite environmental sustainability narratives surrounding EVs, it now undeniable that transition to mobility inevitable. Over last couple of years, region has made considerable advancements in transitioning towards transportation, with government private sector collaborating make EVs more accessible public. progress made, still lowest rate globally. Moreover, available information limited identifying critical challenges require attention ensure a reasonable decarbonization passenger transport region. This review focuses on current advancements, challenges, opportunities EV development SSA puts forward ways hasten its faces significant need be addressed. Particularly, absence clear policies regulations outline targets for individual countries, high purchase price poor electricity networks, scarcity public e-charging stations are primary impediments obstruct SSA. To expedite transition, highly recommended formulate new regional national strategies rather than adopting developed nations' model blueprint.

Electric aviation (eViation) is a promising pathway for sustainability in General Aviation (GA), particularly pilot training. However, challenges such as limited aircraft models, low battery endurance, long charging times, and inadequate infrastructure at most airfields—exacerbated by lack of standardization—hinder eViation adoption. This study explores key factors influencing the feasibility establishing fast-charging network electric airplanes Switzerland, addressing infra-structural, technological, policy barriers, well stakeholder concerns. Using sequential mixed-methods approach, we analyzed 7000+ flight records conducted an online survey (n = 44) 21 qualitative expert interviews. The findings reveal strong interest but highlight critical gaps, including sparse need standardization. Stakeholders emphasize transitioning to Combined Charging System (CCS), integrating renewable energy, implementing measures like subsidies operational privileges. chicken-and-egg dilemma persists: hampers adoption, yet investment difficult without widespread use. Lessons from automotive EV transition strategic expansion coordinated policies. Remarkably, stakeholders prioritize density over speed. identifies barriers opportunities providing actionable recommendations sustainable GA transition.

Adopting electric vehicles (EVs) is a potential solution to reduce emissions and protect the environment. Although countries encourage people use EVs replace gasoline diesel vehicles, application of still needs overcome many barriers, especially in developing such as Thailand. This study aims identify critical barriers that hinder adoption not only among EV owners but also non-EV owners. First, two rounds modified Delphi method were used significant through expert opinions. The decision-making trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) was then applied determine their relationship. Among financial, technical, infrastructure, policy dimensions, industrial experts agree about 14 EVs. results show long charging duration, limited driving range, lack stations are most affecting Thai customers adopting study’s findings will help manufacturers policymakers understand customer requirements develop appropriate strategies improve
