Purpose Technology-based collaborative learning (TBCL) is the manner in which students can use technological tools and digital platforms to share knowledge learn collaboratively. It help increase students’ participation, motivation achievement due stimulating teaching environment. The study intends examine effect of TBCL on competency-based education (CBE). Design/methodology/approach A questionnaire as quantitative data gathering tool employed this correlational study. This used purposive sampling done undergraduate university ( N = 187) order accomplish goal. are analyzed using SPSS software (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) version 27.0. Findings findings indicate strong positive association between CBE with correlation coefficient value 0.993. Hence, null hypothesis rejected, alternative accepted. Practical implications will provide valuable insights that educators, policymakers, industry partners researchers better prepare demands age improve quality by identifying successful strategies integrating technology into environments. Originality/value unique because it synthesizes analyzes previous research look at particular context how affects students' higher institution Sindh was not previously investigated.

Introduction This study investigated the role of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing creative cognition design students, examining mediating effects self-efficacy and anxiety reduction. Methods A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data through online surveys from 121 students at universities southern China. The utilized scales for AI knowledge perception, self-efficacy, anxiety, cognition, adapted previous studies evaluated on 5-point Likert scales. Data analysis conducted using SPSS 24.0 exploratory factor PROCESS v3.5 mediation analysis. Results findings confirmed that positively impacted students’ innovative thinking (* β * = 0.610, p < 0.001). Self-efficacy (standardized 0.256, 95% CI [0.140, 0.418], 0.001) reduction 0.093, [0.018, 0.195], 0.05) mediated relationship between cognition. Additionally, a serial effect observed 0.053, [0.012, 0.114], 0.05). Discussion Our empirical demonstrates affects thinking, with serving as significant mediators. These provide valuable insights educators policymakers, suggesting AI-integrated curricula can significantly foster promote academic achievement, enhance designer capabilities. Abstract As the demand for higher-order thinking skills continues to rise in 21st century, integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) into educational practices has emerged as a promising tool. However, its full potential enhancing collaborative problem-solving and team creativity within contexts, particularly Digital Storytelling (DST), remains insufficiently explored. This study investigated effects GAI tools, including ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, on university students’ Collaborative Problem-Solving (CPS) skills, Team Creativity Performance (TCP), their perceptions GAI’s role DST creation. Employing mixed-methods approach, utilized pre- post-surveys along with semi-structured interviews assess these outcomes. Over 20-week training program, sixty students were randomly assigned either an experimental group creating aid tools or conventional designed via traditional methods. Results indicated that creation significantly enhanced CPS skills. Furthermore, demonstrated better performance creativity, user experience novelty dimensions. It also revealed while generally held positive attitude toward use creation, they expressed concerns about cognitive offloading, over-reliance technology, lack emotional support. offers valuable insights educators researchers seeking incorporate technologies way foster learning settings.
