Built and natural environments may provide opportunities for physical activity. However, studies are limited by primarily using residential addresses to define exposure self-report measure We quantified associations between global positioning systems (GPS)-based activity space measures of environmental accelerometer-based Using a nationwide sample working female adults (N = 354), we obtained seven days GPS accelerometry data. created Daily Path Area spaces data linked these spatial datasets on walkability (EPA Smart Location Database at the Census block group level) greenness (satellite vegetation 250 m resolution). utilized generalized additive models examine nonlinear exposures accelerometer-derived outcomes adjusted demographic characteristics, socioeconomic factors, self-rated health. Poor spatial accessibility of urban green spaces affects disadvantaged populations, who are at greater risk socioeconomic related health inequalities. We analyse mobile phone locational data from the Auckland Region New Zealand to connect a user's 'home' location nearby parks, specifically focusing on public housing tenants - highly vulnerable group use number traditional measures and four new park utilisation analyses explore relationship between neighbourhood area deprivation, patterns actual usage. develop metrics assist in understanding available residents: distance closest visited (DAT), used opportunities (UPO), locality visits (LPV), nearest visitation rate (NPVR). found that neighbourhoods with most tend have lower parks accessible, those accessible smaller size. Additionally, people living these areas travel farther access compared no housing. More deprived were revealed greens Auckland, highlighting urgency address emerging divisions for neighbourhoods. Our findings important implications policy-makers planners. Furthermore, can reveal insights into mobility behaviour users be applied other locations population groups.

In recent years there has been an increase in the use of micromobility devices cities worldwide. Due to their novelty, effects on population health are still unknown. this study, we aim explore association between conventional and electric modes daily physical activity levels adult city Barcelona. Tracking data for 129 adults were collected 2020 2021 as part NEWMOB project. Participants each wore accelerometer answered travel diaries a week. reported through log. Objective reports obtained from data. Statistical analysis explored self-reported -shared bike, shared e-bike, e-scooter- objective activity. On average, bike users, users that combined different higher time spent moderate-to-vigorous (MVPA) than other users. The lowest mean MVPA found among scooter non-micromobility terms light levels, highest correspond mixed scooters. Analysing guidelines compliance, mix groups more often met guidelines. Micromobility such bikes can help maintain high MVPA, while meeting guidelines, contrast e-scooters.

Global Positioning System (GPS) technology is increasingly used in health research to capture individual mobility and contextual environmental exposures. However, the tools, techniques decisions for using GPS data vary from study study, making comparisons reproducibility challenging. However, our understanding hindered by limited rigorous experimental studies. Future directions include implementing standardized measurements, conducting long-term studies, addressing limitations enable better adjustment training intensity promote correct postures on machines. New, more research needed comprehensively understand psychophysiological social effects health. Additionally, suggested modifications could render machines effective safer. The primary objective enhance this type machinery encourage its use in outdoor spaces, thus aiding adults individuals achieving overall enjoying a healthy aging process.
