Source separation is a pivotal strategy for addressing rural domestic waste pollution, significantly influencing the efficacy of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle principles in management. Information interventions should be valued to address deficiencies economic policies that encourage separation. What kind information intervention can best improve farmers’ intention? Eight random experimental groups were designed, including three single on topics such as environmental, technical health issues, four interactive one control group. Based 904 valid samples farmers collected Taihu Lake Basin China, ordered probit difference-in-differences models constructed achieve goals this study. The main conclusions are follows. effect was best, which impacted positively intention separate by 17.94%. environmental 14.59%. However, test failed intervention. interventions’ only 60.18% intervention, arguably due overload. findings study help find out how choose appropriate content way intention.

Agricultural non-point source pollution (ANPSP) has caused serious harm to farmland ecological environment, and become an urgent environmental issue in China. This paper investigates the intention actual implementation of farmers' green agricultural production behaviors (GAPBs) Yunnan, The results show that 80% farmers are willing implement GAPBs for improving but a large number them have not implemented at present. In addition, this study integrates normative activation theory with planned behavior empirically analyze driving factors behaviors. direct positive impact personal norms on is significant. Effective waste separation at the source is vital for sustainable management globally. However, motivating people to participate in can be challenging, especially developing countries' megacities, where rapid urbanization and surging solid trends are prevalent. A survey conducted Bangkok, Thailand, provides valuable insights into factors that encourage among individuals from diverse backgrounds. The study involved 456 respondents, an effect size of 0.35, a 95% confidence level, 5% margin error. sample groups were divided four modules based on their lifestyles analysed intention behaviour using extended theory planned structural equation model. results showed attitude critical fundamental factor influencing intention, while trust recycling system most significant behaviour. Furthermore, each module differ, highlighting need specific strategies promote with megacities. These findings immense value confidently used by governors or policymakers worldwide combat challenges.

Waste management is an evolutionary system, but few studies have explored how and why public willingness to participate in waste separation changes, or possible paths increase residents' participate. This paper took Shanghai as a case study of city that has experienced recent environmental policy change embrace feedback perspective. The results showed after the implementation, resident's satisfaction with increased by only 5.3%, participation actually decreased 5.4%. A Geodetector model both attitude knowledge are highly important before implementation. Residents' community largest soon implementation while importance time occupied dropped significantly. Policy simulation system dynamics community-driven scenario was able achieve 95% 2 years earlier than baseline scenario. Plastic waste is choking our planet, but the recycling rate still universally low. Understanding factors affecting behaviours can help address this pressing issue. Taking Dhaka as an example, study explores determinants of intentions to recycle plastic waste. We employed Theory Planned Behaviour (TPB) and extended it with two additional variables: Moral Norms, Perceived sufficiency knowledge policy support. Survey data 577 were collected analysed using PLS-SEM. The findings suggest attitude, perceived behavioural control, moral norms subjective significantly impact intention, among which (β = 0.148, p < 0.05) acts even more strongly than 0.12, 0.05). Moreover, low level perception support makes people perceive less control over behaviour 0.188, 0.05), actually reinforce their intention −0.091, 0.1). This enriches theoretical discussion TPB, contributes efforts encouraging in populated megacity emerging economy.
