The metabarcoding methods for studying the diversity of freshwater microalgae and routine biomonitoring are actively used in modern research. A lot experience has been accumulated already, many methodological questions have solved (such as influence time sample conservation, DNA extraction bioinformatical processing). reproducibility method tested confirmed. However, one main problems-choosing a genetic marker study-still lacks clear answer. We analyzed 70 publications found out that studies on eukaryotic use 12 markers (different nuclear regions 18S ITS plastids

Amoebae are one major group of protists that widely found in natural and engineered environments. They a significant threat to human health not only because many them pathogenic but also due their unique role as an environmental shelter for pathogens. However, unsolved issue the amoeba-bacteria relationship is why so bacteria live within amoeba hosts while they can independently By using facultative amoeba-

Drinking water systems host a wide range of microorganisms essential for biosafety. However, one major group waterborne pathogens, protozoa, is relatively neglected compared to bacteria and other microorganisms. Until now, little known about the growth fate protozoa their associated in drinking systems. In this study, we aim investigate how treatment affects subtropical megacity. The results showed that viable were prevalent city's tap water, amoebae component protozoa. addition, protozoan-associated contained many potential pathogens primarily enriched amoeba hosts. Furthermore, study current disinfection methods have effect on bacteria. Besides, ultrafiltration membranes unexpectedly served as an ideal surface systems, they could significantly promote amoeba-associated conclusion, shows are which may present emerging health risk
