Abstract With the increasing development of industry, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) pollution is becoming increasingly serious, posing great harm to health humans and other organisms. It urgent develop effective solutions. In this study, DNA/calcium alginate magnetic aerogel microspheres were prepared based on gel properties sodium magnetism ferric oxide, which used remove benzo(a)anthracene (BaA) from aqueous solution. The irregular spherical, with concave convex surface good water absorption. pores mostly mesoporous. had adsorption BaA easy be magnetically separated. When initial concentration was 350 µg/L, removal efficiency 98.52% when incubated at 25 ℃ pH 7.0 for 50 min. process accorded Langmuir model pseudo-2nd -order kinetic model. For natural river samples containing BaA, above 98.45% in range 50–300 µg/L.The have high capacity, simple time-consuming, potential application value purification.

The temporal and spatial variations of 16 Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) were examined at multiple sites around Lake Balaton from February 2023 to January 2024. results indicated that the concentrations PAHs in sediment high during winter months, 448.35 619.77 ng/g dry weight, low summer 257.21 465.49 weight. concentration molecular weight (HMWPAHs), consisting 5-6 rings, was greater than (LMWPAHs), which had 2-3 rings. total incremental lifetime cancer risk (ILCR) for both dermal ingestion pathways adults children four seasons, with highest records as following: > spring autumn. ecological effects negligible except acenaphthylene (Acy) fluorene (Fl), displayed slightly higher autumn spring, respectively.

Pyrene, a representative polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, frequently occurs in aquatic environments and is associated with lethal impacts on humans wildlife. This study examined the impact of pyrene Alexandrium pacificum, dinoflagellate responsible for harmful algal blooms, their capability to bioremove pyrene. In 96 h exposure experiment, A. pacificum effectively reduced concentration seawater 50, 100, 200 μg/L, combined removal efficiency 96% seawater. Furthermore, noted significant reduction synthesis GTX4, GTX1, NEO, GTX3 toxins cells exposed 50 μg/L Concurrently, resulted marked declines growth photosynthetic pacificum. Proteomics analysis results showed an upregulation proteins related endocytosis, such as HSPA Arf, while paralytic shellfish toxin (PST) synthesis, specifically SxtU SxtH, downregulation trend. summary, findings this preliminarily elucidate molecular mechanisms underlying pacificum's response pyrene, reveal PST suggest that holds potential biodegradation.
