Photocatalytic coupling technologies have emerged as popular strategies to increase the treatment efficiency of dye-containing wastewater. Herein, Z-scheme Co3O4/BiOBr heterojunction (Z-CBH) was constructed and developed a photocatalytic peroxydisulfate (PDS) activator for degradation high-concentration Rhodamine B (RhB). Multiple testing techniques were employed confirm formation Z-CBHs. When 0.1 g·L–1 Z-CBH20 1.0 mmol·L–1 PDS added simultaneously under simulated sunlight irradiation, RhB could approach 91.3%. Its reaction rate constant (0.01231 min–1) much beyond sum those in Z-CBH20/light system (0.00436 PDS/light (0.0062 min–1). h+, •OH, •O2–, SO4•–, 1O2 detected dominant reactive species degradation. Piezo-photocatalysis combines photocatalysis and piezoelectric effects to enhance catalytic efficiency by creating an internal electric field in the photocatalyst, improving carrier separation overall performance. This study presents a high-performance piezo-photocatalyst for efficient dye degradation using synergistic barium titanate (BTO)-MXene composite. The composite was synthesized via facile method, combining unique properties of BTO nanoparticles with high conductivity MXene. structural morphological analysis confirmed successful formation composite, well-dispersed on MXene surface. piezo-photocatalytic activity evaluated typical solution (Rhodamine B: RhB) under ultraviolet irradiation mechanical agitation. results revealed remarkable enhancement (90 % 15 min piezo-photocatalysis) compared individual stimuli (58.2 95.8 90 piezocatalysis), highlighting between enhanced performance attributed charge transfer facilitated composite's structure, leading increased reactive species generation molecule degradation. Furthermore, exhibited excellent stability reusability, showcasing its potential practical applications wastewater treatment. Overall, this work represents promising strategy designing catalysts, addressing pressing need sustainable solutions environmental remediation.
