We examined longitudinal data from UK's Understanding Society Survey, including eight COVID surveys, to estimate fixed difference-in-differences models combined with matching, explore causal COVID-19 among carers. While matching accounts for selection on observables into caregiving, multiple period specifications allow investigation heterogeneous by timing and duration care. The estimates suggest that while fluctuated following imposition social restrictions, carers who started caregiving pandemic show largest deterioration, especially lockdowns.
