Psychedelic drugs including psilocybin and LSD are undergoing clinical trials for a range of psychiatric neurological conditions, have particularly shown substantial promise in phase 2 studies depression. ABSTRACT Background This study explored the perspectives of trainees, recently qualified and experienced psychotherapists regarding psychedelic assisted therapy (PAT). Aims The aim was to capture meaning, concerns opportunities PAT understand what it means for field psychotherapy contribute growing body literature on its development inform subsequent research. Fragestellung Was könnten gemeinsame Effekte verschiedenen Antidepressiva sein und welche Rolle spielen dabei jeweils extrapharmakologische Faktoren wie Körper Umwelt? Material Methode Die verfügbare Literatur über klinische präklinische Daten vermuteten gemeinsamen Wirkfaktoren von serotonergen Psychedelika, (Es‑)Ketamin, monoaminergen Zuranolon wird dargestellt Einfluss Kontextfaktoren auf jeweiligen diskutiert. Ergebnisse Es deutet vieles darauf hin, dass klassischere neuere pharmakologische Ansätze Depressionsbehandlung ähnliche teilen könnten. Diese Mechanismen begünstigen langfristige Neuroplastizität, nachgeschaltete molekulare Kaskaden auslösen können vice versa. The opioid crisis continues to exert a tremendous toll in North America, with existing interventions often falling short of addressing ongoing needs. Psychedelics are emerging as possible alternative therapy for mental health and substance use disorders. This study aimed gather insights on how people or considering using psychedelics manage disorder (OUD), these experiences perceived impact what lessons imply future research practice. We conducted qualitative the Reddit online community platform. extracted posts that contained key psychedelic terms from two most subscribed-to subreddits dedicated discussions OUD treatment (r/OpiatesRecovery r/Methadone) 2018 2021. thematically analyzed content 151 relevant their respective comments. Background: Recent clinical trials suggest promising antidepressant effects of psilocybin, despite methodological challenges. While various studies have investigated distinct mechanisms and proposed theoretical opinions, a comprehensive understanding psilocybin’s neurobiological psychological is lacking. Predicting disease trajectories in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) can allow designing personalized therapeutic strategies.
