As one of the most fundamental thiol compounds in human body, cysteine (Cys) is involved maintaining redox balance. Abnormal Cys levels can lead to various diseases. In this work, we successfully synthesized a fluorescent probe (CTBA) that specifically detect using acrylate as reaction site, and CTBA has met selectivity anti-interference for detection under optimized conditions. The linear range between 0.05 100 μM limit 0.0381 μM. Finally, used content three bovine serum samples test results are satisfactory.

Diabetic cataract (DC) surgery carries risks such as slow wound healing, macular edema, and progression of retinopathy is faced with a deficiency effective drugs. In this context, we proposed protocol to evaluate the drug's efficacy using lipid droplets (LDs) marker. For purpose, fluorescent probe PTZ-LD for LDs detection developed based on phenothiazine unit. The displays polarity-dependent emission variations, i.e., lower polarity leading stronger intensity. Especially, exhibits photostability superior that Nile Red, commercial staining dye. Using probe, formation in DC-modeled human lens epithelial (HLE) cells validated, interplay LDs-LDs LDs-others are investigated. Unexpectedly, transfer between visualized. Moreover, therapeutic various drugs HLE assessed. Ultimately, more were found tissues from DC patients than first time. We anticipate work can attract attention important roles during progression.

Superoxide anion (O2·–) and peroxynitrite (ONOO–), two important oxidants under oxidative stress, coexist in complex cell organism systems, playing crucial roles various physiological pathological processes, particularly neurodegenerative diseases. Despite the absence of robust molecular tools capable simultaneously visualizing O2·– ONOO– biosystems, relationship between these species remains understudied. Herein, we present sequentially activated fluorescent probe, DHX-SP, which exhibits exceptional selectivity sensitivity toward ONOO–. This probe enables precise imaging living PC12 cells stress conditions using distinct fluorescence signal combinations. Furthermore, DHX-SP has ability to visualize changes levels during ferroptosis Parkinson's disease model. These findings establish a connection crosstalk phosphorus group stress.
