The evolution of nitrogen fixation undoubtedly altered nearly all corners the biosphere, given essential role in synthesis biomass. To date, there is no unified view on what planetary conditions gave rise to or how these have sustained it evolutionarily. Intriguingly, concentrations metals that nitrogenases require function changed throughout Earth's history. In this review, we describe interconnection metal and cycles with nitrogenase importance ancient ecology formation modern cycle. Abstract The electrochemical nitrate (NO 3 − ) reduction reaction RR) to ammonia (NH represents a sustainable approach for denitrification balance global nitrogen cycles and an alternative traditional thermal Haber‐Bosch processes. Here, we present supramolecular strategy promoting NH production in water from NO RR by integrating two‐dimensional (2D) molecular cobalt porphyrin ( CoTPP units into three‐dimensional (3D) porous organic cage architecture. box CoPB‐C8 enhances active site exposure, facilitates substrate–catalyst interactions, improves catalyst stability, leading turnover numbers frequencies exceeding 200,000 56 s −1 , respectively. These values represent 15‐fold increase activity 200‐mV improvement overpotential the 3D structure compared its 2D counterpart. Synthetic tuning of peripheral alkyl substituents highlights importance porosity cavity size on activity. findings establish incorporation confined space microenvironments as effective design enhancing electrocatalysis.

Abstract Biochar (BC) and nanoparticle-decorated biochar (NPs@BC) have emerged as potential high-performance function materials to facilitate simultaneous soil remediation agricultural production. Therefore, there is an urgent need incorporate environmental sustainability human health targets into BC NPs@BC selection design processes. In contrast extensive research on the preparation, modification, application of ecosystems, reports about adapted framework material strategy under considerations are still limited. Nevertheless, few studies systematically explored impact including biota, geochemical properties, nutrient cycles, which critical for large-scale utilization a multifunctional product. The main objective this systematic literature review show high degrees contaminant removal different heavy metals organic pollutants, quantify economic, environmental, toxicological outcomes in context sustainable agriculture. To address need, review, we summarized synthesis techniques characterization, highlighted linkage between evolution properties with based effects, hazards, economic considerations. Then, advances pollutants minutely discussed. Eventually, positively acts agriculture, declared. meantime, evaluating from perspective plant growth, characterizations well carbon nitrogen cycle was conducted, comprehending sustainability. Our work may develop that can inform decision-making use promising applications prevent unintended consequences, expected guide boost development highly efficient agriculture applications. Graphical
