Large volumes of water are used in energy production for both primary (e.g., fuel extraction) and secondary electricity). Solar desalination and fog harvesting are two common ways to obtain fresh water, both promising methods solve the water shortage problem. A prerequisite for the rational development and utilization of regional water resources is measurement stress.
