As identified in 1936 by Hans Selye, stress is shaping diseases through the induction of inflammation. But inflammation display some yin yang properties. On one hand merging with innate immune response aimed to fight infectious or sterile insults, on other favors chronic physical psychological disorders. Nature has equipped cells, organs, and individuals mediators mechanisms that allow them deal stress, even a good (eustress) been associated homeostasis. Likewise, societies planet are exposed stressful settings, but wars global warming suggest regulatory poorly efficient. In this review we list inducers physiological psychologic societal planetary mention great number parameters which affect modulate render it different from an individual another, cellular level one. The cell, organ, individual, society, share many stressors consequences extremely interconnected ending domino effect butterfly effect.

Abstract The need to urgently find alternative plant-based biodegradable fibres is not just important, it a pressing necessity. severe environmental damage caused by plastic packaging materials demands immediate action. It responsibility that everybody should share reduce the global pollution rate and footprint. Biodegradable films from natural waste products have gained considerable consideration for their ability guarantee optimal product conservation while avoiding any risk of contamination or intoxication. Therefore, this overview addresses recent developments in food application sensors indicate possible packed spoilage. new role was discussed widely, traditional bio-based, active intelligent packaging. Until few years ago, had sole purpose protecting external contamination. However, barrier effect no longer enough: act directly on surrounding space. interesting innovation responds packaging, market with solid growth years. allows enhancement detection pathogens maintaining good monitoring environment inside package, continuously recording conditions. This more complete interactive information recorded thanks special analytical devices: sensors. They can detect transmit message consumer about quality, freshness safety, record internal changes product’s environment. these devices are free limitations, such as costs performance, which limit wider use.

Environmental pollution from plastics has become one of the biggest concerns globally. Microplastics (MPs) are plastic materials less than 5 mm in size. They remain environment for hundreds to thousands years without degrading, only breaking down further nanoplastics (NPs). Micro- and can be origin many diseases carry various pathogenic substances on their surface spread them throughout biosphere, starting with contained additives ending adsorbed toxins potentially microorganisms. Exposure routes humans animals through air, water food/feed. Due placement livestock—including ruminants, fish poultry—and at top food web, any water, air or soil eventually transferred livestock humans. The presence microplastics intestines aquaculture species, ruminants poultry, instance, was found cause a change intestinal microbial population and, as result, occurrence diseases. These particles have also been observed other organs such liver, kidneys, lung, spleen, heart, ovaries, testicles animals, which causes biochemical changes, structural destruction, malfunction. While complete extent negative health impacts remains still largely unknown, ubiquitous transmission chemicals organisms is notable issue, underscoring importance gaining more comprehensive understanding potential threats posed by animal ultimately human health, coupled need drastic reduction freight into environment. This review article summarizes recent findings effect micro- farmed ultimately, Action needed reduce number thereby humans, exposed.

The increasing use of plastic polymers in 3D printing applications may lead to human exposure micro- and nanoplastics (MNPLs), raising concerns regarding adverse health consequences such as cancer induction. Little attention has been given MNPLs originated at the end life cycle 3D-printed objects because mechanical environmental degradation waste. This study assessed carcinogenic potential secondary generated through cryomilling using validated vitro Bhas 42 cell transformation assay (CTA). Three-dimensional were printed four types polycarbonate (PC)- polypropylene (PP)-modified thermoplastic filaments, undoped doped with single-walled carbon nanotubes (PC-CNT) silver nanoparticles (PP-Ag), respectively. (< 5 µm) following a three-step top-down process thoroughly characterized. cells treated once (initiation assay) or repeatedly (promotion several concentrations (3.125-100 µg/mL) mimicking realistic conditions, transformed foci formation was evaluated after 21 days. Furthermore, cellular internalization mRNA expression seven genes previously recognized part predictive early signature also evaluated. Despite being internalized, none particles able initiate promote transformation, regardless doping nanomaterials. Alternatively, all significantly increased decreased Prl2c3 Timp4, respectively, under promotion indicating changes that occur before foci. These findings suggest test could have tumorigenic despite not showing morphological cells.
