The need for better nutrient management has spurred efforts towards more comprehensive recycling of nutrients contained in human excreta to agriculture. Research this direction intensified throughout the past years, continuously unfolding new knowledge and technologies. present review aspires provide a systematic synthesis field by providing an accessible overview terminology, recovery pathways treatment options, products rendered treatment. Our suggests that, rather than focusing on specific pathway or product limited set nutrients, there is scope exploring how maximize combining individual including broader range nutrients. To end, finding ways effectively share consolidate information would be beneficial. aims template that facilitate designing maximum recovery, can serve as foundation organizing categorizing effective sharing consolidation.

Abstract Soil organic matter (SOM) has a critical role in regulating soil phosphorus (P) dynamics and producing phytoavailable P. However, P are often explained mainly by the effects of pH, clay contents, elemental compositions, such as calcium, iron, aluminum. Therefore, better understanding mechanisms how SOM influences soils is required for establishing effective agricultural management health enhancement fertility, especially P-use efficiency. In this review, following abiotic biotic discussed; (1) competitive sorption between with positively charged adsorption sites clays metal oxides (abiotic reaction), (2) complexations cations (3) incorporation binary bridging formation stable minerals (4) enhanced activities enzymes, which affects (biotic (5) mineralization/immobilization during decay (6) solubilization inorganic mediated acids released microbes reaction). Marine eutrophication, primarily driven by nutrient over input from agricultural runoff, wastewater discharge, and atmospheric deposition, leads to harmful algal blooms (HABs) that pose a severe threat marine ecosystems. This review explores the causes, monitoring methods, control strategies for eutrophication in environments. Monitoring techniques include remote sensing, automated situ sensors, modeling, forecasting, metagenomics. Remote sensing provides large-scale temporal spatial data, while sensors offer real-time, high-resolution monitoring. Modeling forecasting use historical data environmental variables predict blooms, metagenomics insights into microbial community dynamics. Control treatments encompass physical, chemical, biological treatments, as well advanced technologies like nanotechnology, electrocoagulation, ultrasonic treatment. Physical such aeration mixing, are effective but costly energy-intensive. Chemical including phosphorus precipitation, quickly reduce levels may have ecological side effects. Biological biomanipulation bioaugmentation, sustainable require careful management of interactions. Advanced innovative solutions with varying costs sustainability profiles. Comparing these methods highlights trade-offs between efficacy, cost, impact, emphasizing need integrated approaches tailored specific conditions. underscores importance combining mitigate adverse effects on
