Amino acids and dipicolinic acid (DPA) are important biomarkers for identifying human health. Establishing rapid, accurate, sensitive, simple assays is essential disease prevention early diagnosis. In this work, a novel Zn(II) metal–organic framework (MOF) with the formula {[Zn5(μ3–OH)2(BTDI)2(dpp)2]·dpp·4H2O·2DMF}n (JXUST-53, where JXUST denotes Jiangxi University of Science Technology, H4BTDI = 5,5′-(benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole-4,7-diyl)diisophthalic acid; dpp 1,3-di(4-pyridyl)propane) was successfully synthesized via mixed-ligands strategy. JXUST-53 exhibits three-dimensional (4,10)-connected deh1 topological structure, which remains stable after soaking in aqueous solutions different pH values (1–12) organic solvents at least 24 h, showing high chemical stability. As potential fluorescence sensor, can specifically recognize l-threonine (l-Thr), l-histidine (l-His), DPA EtOH through enhancement blue-shift effect. It worth noting that first MOF-based sensor capable recognizing l-Thr. addition, university logo deposited on it printed by aerosol jet printing technology, enabling portable convenient method monitoring DPA. More importantly, has good biocompatibility low cytotoxicity to sense l-Thr, l-His, living cells.

A new polydentate tetracarboxylic acid with a benzothiadiazole unit (4',4'''-(benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole-4,7-diyl)bis([1,1'-biphenyl]-3,5-dicarboxylic acid), H4BTDBA) has been used to prepare pH-stable three-dimensional TbIII-based metal-organic framework (MOF) the formula {[(CH3)2NH2]0.7[Tb2(BTDBA)1.5(lac)0.7(H2O)2]·solvents}n (Hlac = lactic acid, JXUST-19). JXUST-19 exhibits (4,4,12)-connected topology based on tetranuclear [Tb4] clusters. can remain stable when soaked in water for at least 1 week and aqueous solutions various pH values (2-12) 24 h. Fluorescence study indicates be employed as rare turn-on blue-shift MOF sensor toward benzaldehyde (BZ) salicylaldehyde (SA). To date, represents first solution, fluorescence enhancement naked-eye detection of BZ have rarely reported. In addition, fluorescent test papers, light-emitting diode lamp beads, portable composite films were developed realize SA, which great potential practical applications.
