Regulating the energy level of a lanthanide (III) metal–organic framework (Ln-MOF) via an "antenna effect" is effective strategy for achieving ratiometric luminescent dynamics carcinoid biomarker sensing application. Herein, we present europium-based MOF material {[Eu(BPDC)(μ3–OH)(H2O)2]·2.5H2O}n (Eu-MOF, H2BPDC = 2,2′-bipyridine-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid and DMF N,N-dimethylformamide), incorporating tetranuclear cubane-like [Eu4(μ3–OH)4(COO)4]4– cluster cores, 5-hydroxyindole-3-acetic (5-HIAA) detection through influence Eu3+ ions sensitized by ligands as well 5-HIAA. Abstract As promising photoresponsive materials and potential smart materials, hybrid photochromic (HPMs), especially for crystalline HPMs (CHPMs), have been broadly explored their in inheriting the merits of each constituents, intriguing photomodulated functionality. Hitherto, functionality CHPMs mainly concentrate on dyad combination. By contrast, triple or quadruple properties are very rare because limited compatibility multiple a single system. In this work, electron‐transfer (ET) crystal engineering strategies were utilized to predesign with via collaboration paramagnetic metal ion (Dy 3+ ), electron‐donor (ED) ligand (benzene‐1,2,3‐tricarboxylic acid, H 3 BTA) electron‐acceptor (EA) (1,10‐phenanthroline, phen). The resulting complex [Dy(BTA)(phen) 2 ]⋅2H O ( 1 ) shows chain intrachain Dy ions bridged chelated by tricarboxylate phen ligands, respectively. By using a N-containing tetradentate ligand tetra(pyridine-4-yl)benzene-1,4-diamine (TBD) as the coordination linker, chemically stable metal–organic framework [Cu2I2(TBD)·DMF]n (1) has been successfully synthesized (DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide). Compound 1 features three-dimensional architecture wherein [Cu2I2] moieties are formed and further serve secondary building units to assist fabrication of final network. Solid-state photoluminescence behavior investigated on compound 1. Notably, sensing experiments suggest that Ag+ exhibits dramatic quenching effect luminescence emission 1, implying great potential title an sensor. Related verification have conducted in detail. Moreover, presents effective I2 sorption performance, which could be regarded promising adsorbent for removal targeted species.

Two Zn-MOFs, namely, {[Zn(L)0.5(bpea)]·0.5H2O·0.5DMF}n [LCU-113 (for Liaocheng University)] and {[Zn(L)0.5(ibpt)]·H2O·DMF}n (LCU-114), were synthesized based on flexible tetracarboxylic acid 1,3-bis(3,5-dicarboxyphenoxy)benzene (H4L) different N-ligands [bpea = 1,2-dipyridyl ethane; ibpt 3-(4'-imidazolobenzene)-5-(pyridine-4'-yl)-1,2,4-triazole]. LCU-113 LCU-114 possess twofold interpenetrating three-dimensional pillared layer structures, in which a two-dimensional formed by carboxylic Zn2+ ions was bpea ibpt, respectively. The two complexes show high water stability luminescence sensing performance toward organic solvents, ions, antibiotics, as well chemicals, simulated urine. investigation showed that (1) could detect uric (UA, 2,6,8-trihydroxypurine, metabolite of purine) p-aminophenol (PAP, biomarker phenamine) urine quenching, respectively, (2) quenching occurred aqueous solutions nitrofurazone (NZF), Fe3+, CrO42-/Cr2O72-. All the above detections have excellent anti-interference ability recyclability. mechanism analysis indicates weak interactions between framework structures target analytes energy competition (inner filter effect) play an important role analytes. practical application for monitoring NZF/Fe3+ samples also tested.

It is necessary to find more simple methods improve the detection selectivity and sensitivity of antibiotics. Herein, we constructed a novel three-dimensional (3D) Cd-MOF LCU-117 assembled from p-terphenyl-4,2″,5″,4'-tetracarboxylic acid, which showed special 3D helical structure with carboxylic acid ligands nitrogen-containing crossing each other vertically. Luminescence measurements indicated that has high toward Eu3+ through ratiometric effect. Meanwhile, this complex itself could detect antibiotics oxytetracycline (OTC) turn-off mechanism. When was added in suspensions (noted as Eu3+@LCU-117), OTC enhanced significantly visually. The sensing mechanism investigated detail by various theoretical calculations. good effect on logic gate, potential fingerprint detection, mixed-matrix membranes (MMMs). practical application for monitoring water samples also provided satisfactory result.
