Abstract Tinospora sinensis ( T. ), whose Tibetan name is “Lezhe”, as a traditional medicine, widely distributed in China, India and Sri Lanka. It used for the treatment of rheumatic arthralgia, sciatica, lumbar muscle strain bruises. Research over previous decades indicated that mainly contains terpenes, lignans, alkaloids, phenol glycosides other chemical components. A wide range pharmacologic activities such anti‐inflammatory, analgesic, immunosuppressive, anti‐aging, anti‐radiation, anti‐leishmania liver protection have been reported. However, scholar's research on pharmacodynamic material basis relatively weak.
