Abstract Selectfluor, [1‐chloromethyl‐4‐fluoro‐1,4‐diazoniabicyclo[2.2.2]octane bis(tetrafluoroborate)], is a highly valuable reagent in contemporary chemistry, serving not only as an electrophilic fluorinating agent but also effective catalyst the synthesis of various pharmaceutically relevant heterocycles. This review article seeks to present comprehensive overview significant heterocyclic ring formations facilitated by selectfluor. Both metal‐free and metal‐catalyzed recent advancement on selectfluor mediated cyclisation processes are discussed this mainly over last eight years (2017‐April 2024).

Abstract A sustainable protocol has been devised for the oxidation of activated secondary alcohols to their corresponding carbonyl compounds, as well utilization selective mono‐alkylating reagents both amide and arylsulfonamide derivatives. These reactions proceed smoothly in good yields (up 98 %) when conducted Fe‐based deep eutectic solvents (DESs), which serve dual roles catalysts. Operating under mild (40 °C) aerobic conditions, these transformations are completed within a 4 h time frame. pharmacologically relevant derivative, specifically PMRT1 inhibitor, also successfully synthesized on 3 g‐scale utilizing reusable FeCl ⋅ 6H 2 O/glycerol Lewis acidic DES.

We present the first examples of alkene amino-sulfonoxylation reactions that leverage unique reactivity carbamate tethered N -alkoxy nitrenium ions. In almost all cases examined, deliver product with exquisite regioselectivity and diastereoselectivity. The protocols followed are operationally very simple only use commercial I(III) reagents sulfonic acids, amounting to a metal-free protocol for amino-oxygenation. No special precautions need be taken exclude air or ambient moisture, products amenable further transformations.

We present the first racemic and scalemic examples of di-tert-butyl silanoxy Michael additions. Our operationally simple protocol is selective for nitro-olefins simply involves stirring substrate with an appropriate hydrogen-bond donor catalyst without any special precautions to exclude air or moisture. For each examined, we have developed complementary protocols which respectively optimize yield enantioselectivity. reactions scale well, products are valuable intermediates further transformations, including preparation enantioenriched vicinal amino-alcohols.
