New hybrid liposomes based on cationic amphiphiles with different structures of the head group (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), 3-hexadecyl-1-hydroxyethylimidazolium (IA-16(OH)), 1-(butylcarbamoyl)oxyethyl-3-hexadecylimidazolium (IAC 16(Bu)), and hexadecylmethylpyrrolidinium (PR-16)) were developed for transdermal administration nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Abstract The review focuses on the lipid based nanocarriers, with special attention paid to natural bioactive payloads. First, micelles and microemulsions are considered as very attractive colloidal nanocontainers that allow for marked improving solubility of hydrophobic bioactives. One of the main problems in treatment poisoning with organophosphorus (OPs) inhibitors acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is low ability existing reactivators AChE that are used as antidotes to cross blood-brain barrier (BBB).
