A straightforward methodology for the enantioselective preparation of axially chiral 2-naphthylpyrroles has been developed. This protocol is based on a CuI/Fesulphos-catalyzed highly 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition an azomethine ylide followed by pyrrolidine alkylation and to pyrrole oxidation. The mild conditions employed in DDQ/blue light-mediated aromatization process facilitate effective central-to-axial chirality transfer affording corresponding pyrroles with high atroposelectivity.

Abstract Two different types of hollow‐fiber membrane contactors were used for CO 2 separation from the gas stream with monoethanolamine (MEA) absorbent and numerically investigated. After model validation experimental data, removal efficiency, MEA concentration, pressure drop variation examined under conditions by some effective parameters such as velocity, absorption solution porosity, tortuosity. Membrane tortuosity porosity enhancement led to light decrease increase in respectively, but velocity significantly reduced efficiency.

Cyclic peptides are highly valued synthetic targets in organic and medicinal chemistry. The development of new methodologies for peptide macrocyclization, different from classical lactamization, is essential the progress field. Herein, we report an efficient diastereoselective macrocyclization strategy synthesis cyclic using 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition azomethine ylides. Linear precursors length bearing diverse amino acids have shown to be compatible with this method (26 examples), giving good yields almost complete diastereoselectivity. DFT calculations suggest a stepwise mechanism which Cu plays key role reagents preorganization.

The stereodivergent asymmetric synthesis of 2,5-trans/cis pyrrolidines by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition using two different types activated alkenes is described. When ylidene-isoxazolones were employed as dipolarophiles, the Ag/(S,Sp )-iPr-FcPHOX-catalyzed [3+2] imino lactones proceeded with 2,5-trans selectivity. Subsequent decarboxylation isoxazolone rings produced stereoretention. In reaction acyclic enones alkenes, Ag/(R,Sp )-ThioClickFerrophos complex-catalyzed afforded 2,5-cis substituted in high yields and enantioselectivities. Therefore, these methods can be considered a formal 2,5-cis/trans pyrrolidines.
