Providing employees with proper work conditions should be one of the main concerns any employer. Even so, in many cases, shifts chronically expose workers to a wide range potentially harmful compounds, such as ammonia. Ammonia has been present composition products commonly used industries, namely production lines, and also laboratories, schools, hospitals, others. Chronic exposure ammonia can yield several diseases, irritation pruritus, well inflammation ocular, cutaneous, respiratory tissues. In more extreme is related dyspnea, progressive cyanosis, pulmonary edema. As such, use needs properly regulated monitored ensure safer environments. The Occupational Safety Health Administration European Agency for at Work have already commissioned regulations on acceptable limits Nevertheless, monitoring gas still not normalized because appropriate sensors difficult find commercially available products. To help promote promising methods developing sensors, this will compile compare results published so far.

Detecting ammonia at low concentrations is crucial in various fields, including environmental monitoring, industrial processes, and healthcare. This study explores the development performance of an ultra-sensitive sensor using carboxylic group-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (f-MWCNTs) overlaid on polyvinyl acetate nanofibers coated a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM). The demonstrates high responsiveness, with frequency shift response over 120 Hz when exposed to 1.5 ppm ammonia, sensitivity 23.3
