Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is characterized by high invasiveness, poor prognosis, and a mortality rate. Single radiotherapy (RT) ineffective in the treatment of NSCLC due to radio-resistance. Therefore, photothermal therapy (PTT) combination with RT has been proposed, PTT–RT synergistic extensively explored for feasible treatment. In this study, targeted Au nanoclusters embedded polydopamine (AuNC/PDA–RGD) was constructed combined NSCLC. The AuNC/PDA prepared based on one-pot seedless coassembly strategy. reaction, HAuCl4 directly reduced dopamine form gold (Au) core, oxidized spontaneously self-polymerized PDA shell encapsulating core. After modification an active Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) peptide, AuNC/PDA–RGD obtained, which showed good colloidal stability low cytotoxicity. This nanosystem could be actively taken up (i.e., A549) cells via RGD peptide-mediated internalization. Based conversion capability strong radiosensitivity Au, used hyperthermia-synergized RT. vitro vivo experiments that had enhanced curative effect integrating PTT compared monotherapy. Our studies demonstrated nanoplatform promising medical applications therapy.

Antioxidants play an important role in the prevention of oxidative stress and have been widely used medicine healthcare. However, natural antioxidants several limitations such as low stability, difficult long-term storage, high cost large-scale production. Along with significant advances nanotechnology, nanomaterials emerged a promising solution to improve because their easy time effectiveness, cost. Among various types exhibiting antioxidant activity, metal-based nanoantioxidants show excellent reactivity presence unpaired electron atomic structure. In this review, we summarize some novel classify them into two main categories, namely chain-breaking preventive nanomaterials. addition, applications healthcare are also discussed. This review provides deeper understanding mechanisms guideline for using these

The rapid emergence and spread of drug-resistant pathogens pose a serious threat to human health. To overcome this problem, the exploration new antibacterial agents, especially antibiotic-free strategies, is urgent. Here, nitric oxide (NO) release photothermal effects were integrated into single nanoplatform achieve more efficient effects. (SNP/MPDA) was composed mesoporous polydopamine (MPDA) sodium nitroferricyanide (III) dihydrate (SNP). Near-infrared (NIR)-light could make MPDA produce high temperature, which not only effectively kill bacteria but also induce SNPs generate NO bacteria. NO/photothermal strategy showed ability both Gram-negative Escherichia coli Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureusand destruct mature biofilm. This had advantage producing in situ, thereby showing its activity great potential killing pathogens. work provides insights design antimicrobial strategies without antibiotics.
