ABSTRACT In this study, the cyclopenta[ b ]pyrrolizine was produced via using a nanocatalyst consisting of Ag/Fe 3 O 4 @MWCNTs in multicomponent reaction that involved 2‐arylidenemalononitrile, ethyl 2‐amino‐4‐dioxo‐4‐arylbutanoates, alkyl bromides, and dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate. The conducted water at room temperature, resulting synthesis new compounds. synthesized compounds demonstrate antioxidant activity due to occurrence assessment procedures on its OH group. Moreover, an antibacterial efficacy recently pyridines disk diffusion method, employing two distinct strains Gram‐negative bacteria. Notably, tested exhibited inhibitory effects growth Gram‐positive bacteria as well.

The use of photocatalysis in conjunction with biomass presents an innovative and promising way to increase the sustainability chemical processes. In this work, a g-C3N4@AgFe2O4 heterojunction nanocomposite was prepared by facile sonication method subsequently modified sulfonic acid groups form new acidic photocatalyst enhanced photocatalytic activity. structure, surface composition, morphology, optical absorption features were studied using state-of-the-art characterization techniques. Visible-light-driven dehydration biomass-derived carbohydrates 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), as versatile platform compound, employed assess its catalytic property. Compared traditional homogeneous heterogeneous catalysts, reveled superior or equal activity production HMF from fructose only at low temperature (90 °C, 91% yield). easily recovered remained active recycle runs, approving good stability. Furthermore, developed protocol found be capable converting other feedstocks, such glucose, sucrose, maltose into respectable yields. Interestingly, work represents first example utilizing photocatalyst.

The oxidation of 5-HMF to HMFCA is an important yet complex process, as it generates high-value chemical intermediates. Achieving this transformation efficiently requires the development non-precious, highly active catalysts derived from renewable biomass sources. In work, we introduce UoM-1 (UoM, University Mazandaran), a novel cobalt-based metal-organic framework (Co-MOF) synthesized using simple one-step ultrasonic irradiation method. synthesis employed ligand 4,4'-((1E,1'E)-((5-carboxy-1,3-phenylene)bis(azaneylylidene))bis (methaneylylidene))dibenzoic acid (H3bdda). A comprehensive suite analytical techniques, including FT-IR, EDX, ICP, XRD, TEM, DLS, FESEM, and BET-BJH, was used confirm structural integrity material. catalytic performance investigated for selective conversion HMF HMFCA, demonstrating its effectiveness low-cost, accessible catalyst. To promote more sustainable environmentally friendly approach, reactions were performed in deep eutectic solvents, which offer green, low-energy alternative traditional solvents. This study shows that catalyst not only provides economical solution but also aligns with modern green chemistry principles, making promising candidate future applications.
