Foodborne carbon dots (CDs) are generally produced during cooking and exist in food items. Generally, CDs regarded as nontoxic materials, but several studies have gradually confirmed the cytotoxicity of CDs, such oxidative stress, reduced cellular activity, apoptosis, etc. However, focusing on health effects long-term intake food-borne scarce, especially populations susceptible to metabolic disease. In this study, we reported that self-brewing beer had no effect glucose metabolism CHOW-fed mice exacerbated high-fat-diet (HFD)-induced disorders via gut-liver axis. Chronic exposure foodborne increased fasting levels liver intestinal barrier damage HFD-fed mice. The 16s rRNA sequencing analysis revealed significantly altered gut microbiota composition promoted lipopolysaccharide (LPS) synthesis-related KEGG pathways (superpathway (Kdo)2-lipid A, Kdo transfer lipid IVA Ill (Chlamydia), biosynthesis, so on) Mechanically, CD abundance Gram-negative bacteria (Proteobacteria Desulfovibrionaceae), thus producing excessive endotoxin-LPS, then LPS was transferred by blood circulation due damaged barrier. liver, TLR4/NF-κB/P38 MAPK signaling, enhancing systemic inflammation exacerbating HFD-induced insulin resistance. pretreating with antibiotics eliminated these effects, indicating a key role for finding herein provides new insight into potential risk nanoparticles disturbing

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), a complex chronic inflammatory disorder that includes Crohn’s (CD) and Ulcerative Colitis (UC), has become globally increasing health concern. Nutrition, as an important factor influencing the occurrence development of IBD, attracted more attention. As most nutrient, protein can not only provide energy nutrition required by patients, but also help repair damaged intestinal tissue, enhance immunity, thus alleviate inflammation. Numerous studies have shown nutritional support plays significant role in treatment remission IBD. This article presents comprehensive review pathogenesis IBD analyzes summarizes potential mechanisms Additionally, it provides overview clinical effects its impact on complications. Research findings reveal demonstrates benefits improving symptoms, reducing risk complications, quality life patients. Therefore, is expected to new approach for

Microplastics (MPs) and Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) as emerging contaminants, have caused increasing concern due to their co-exposure risks toxicities humans. Lactic acid bacteria been demonstrated play a significant role in the mitigation of organismal damage. Probiotic intervention is widely recognized safe healthy therapeutic strategy for targeting organic This study explored effectiveness underlining mechanism an excellent probiotic property Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P101 (L. P101) combined hepatotoxicity MPs DEHP. In this study, mice were exposed DEHP via free drinking water, followed by with L. P101. Results showed that severe oxidative stress inflammation liver intestines, which was reversed after intervention. Moreover, reshaped structure gut microbiota alleviated damage exposure. Together, we found effectively mitigated toxic effects on system DEHP, offering promising reducing toxicity these substances.
