ABSTRACT The COVID‐19 pandemic has exposed the limitations of traditional preventative measures and underscored essential role face masks in controlling virus transmission. More effective recyclable facial using various materials have been developed. In this work, vertically aligned carbon nanotubes (VACNTs) are employed as mask filters, particularly aimed at preventing SARS‐CoV‐2 infection preparation for future pandemics. This study assesses six critical aspects masks: hydrophobicity, industrial viability, breathability, hyperthermal antiviral effect, toxicity, reusability. VACNT alone exhibits superhydrophobicity with a contact angle 175.53°, an average 142.7° large area on spun‐bonded polypropylene. VACNTs processed roll‐to‐roll method, eliminating need adhesives. Due to tubes, filters demonstrate exceptional breathability moisture ventilation compared previously reported CNT conventional filters. Hyperthermal tests under sunlight confirm that up 99.8% HCoV 229E denatures even cold environments. safety is corroborated through histopathological evaluation subcutaneous implantation tests, addressing concerns respiratory skin inflammation. efficiently transmit rapidly return their initial dry state maintaining properties after 10000 bending cycles. addition, unique capability function sensors, signaling dampness facilitating reuse, assessed, alongside Joule heating effect.

Abstract Thin polymer coatings are used to improve the interface between biological species and functional materials. Their interaction is significantly influenced by groups roughness of film prediction thus great interest. However, for conventional films, this cannot be examined independently because interplay defects, residual solvent molecules, roughness, groups. Solvent‐free films prepared initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD) exhibit conformal, defect‐free characteristics enable precise tailoring This facilitates isolate contribution on bio‐interface performance. Consequently, in silico studies can a ligand anti‐viral activity SARS‐CoV‐2 based defined key protein structures. Furthermore, cell viability human fibroblasts traced back repeating units. For liver cancer culture, it turns out that more sophisticated models needed. The insilico‐iCVD approach complex optimized respective interfaces. In addition, first big scan performance iCVD enables solid starting point areas like anticancer, antiviral, biocompatibility future studies.
