More than 60% of India's population relies on agriculture as their primary source income, making it the nation's most important economic sector. Rice husk (often abbreviated RH) is one typical by-products agricultural production. Every five tonnes rice that harvested results in production tonne husk. The concept recycling and reusing waste from has received interest a variety environmental industrial perspectives. A wide nanomaterials, including nano-zeolite, nanocarbon, nano-silica, have been discovered agro-waste. From cultivation to finished product, there was by-product consisting comprised 20% overall weight, or RH. percentage silica RH ash ranges 60 40%, with remaining various minerals. As direct consequence this, several distinct approaches generating extracting nanomaterial developed. Because contains significant amount cellulose lignin, an excellent economical carbon precursor. goal this chapter produce carbon-based nanomaterials

Abstract Chemoresponsive dyes offer the potential to selectively detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) unique certain disease states. Among different VOC sensing techniques, colorimetric offers advantage of facile recognition. However, it is often challenging discern color changes by naked eye. Here, highly sensitive sensor arrays from dye‐incorporated colloidal photonic crystals (dye‐cPhCs) are reported. cPhCs scalably fabricated on a 4‐inch wafer spin‐coating silica nanoparticles (NPs) dispersed in photo‐cross‐linkable monomer, where gradient shear flow along film thickness creates densely‐packed square NPs top layers, whereas bulk quasi‐amorphous with larger periodicities. The broadened reflection peak allows for augmented dye absorption originating overlap between bandgap edge cPhC and peak, leading more noticeable change upon exposure VOCs. array generates distinct difference maps acetaldehyde, acetone, acetic acid, respectively, without any data amplification. limit detection acid 1, 0.1, 0.02 ppm, respectively. Moreover, can be diagonalized visually intuitive pattern recognition, principal component analysis at reduced dimensionality demonstrated.
