Alginate/lignin is a synthetic polymer rich in biological activity and of great interest. Alginate extracted from seaweed lignin corn stalks leaves. In this paper, antioxidant activities alginate/lignin were evaluated, such as total activity, reducing power DPPH free radical scavenging α-glucosidase inhibition activity. Anticancer was evaluated three cell lines (Hep G2, MCF-7, NCI H460) fibroblast. Physico-chemistry characteristics determined through FTIR, DSC, SEM_EDS, SEM_EDS mapping, XRD, XRF, 1H-NMR. The acute toxicity studied on Swiss albino mice. results demonstrated that possessed the especially had no not typical cancer lines. existed thermally stable regular spherical shape investigated thermal region. Six metals, non-metals, nineteen oxides detected alginate/lignin. Some specific functional groups alginate did exist crystal. Elements, C, O, Na, S popular structure. LD0 LD100 mice 3.91 g/kg 9.77 g/kg, respectively. has potential for applications pharmaceutical materials, foods, supporting diabetes treatment.

The treatment of skin wounds caused by trauma and pathophysiological disorders has been a growing healthcare challenge, posing great economic burden worldwide. use appropriate wound dressings can help to facilitate the repair healing rate defective skin. Natural polymer biomaterials such as collagen hyaluronic acid with excellent biocompatibility have shown promote restoration However, low mechanical properties fast degradation limited their applications. Skin based on biodegradable biocompatible synthetic polymers not only overcome shortcomings natural but also possess favorable for applications in wounds. Herein, we listed several used dressing materials, PVA, PCL, PLA, PLGA, PU, PEO/PEG, focusing composition, fabrication techniques, functions promoting healing. Additionally, future development prospects polymer-based are put forward. Our review aims provide new insights further using polymers.

Mulch film and slow-release fertilizers are widely used in agriculture horticulture, it has become a trend to use degradable materials for the preparation of mulch films using materials. However, most have poor performance or relatively high cost. In this study, three types materials, namely, poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), corn starch (CS), alkali lignin (AL), were as obtain with fertilizer function (MSRF). MSRF had excellent when 10% AL was added. The properties consisted elongation at break (180.14%), water vapor permeability (203.8 g m–2 day–1), resistance (its morphology remained good 50 days), absorption (300%), urea release efficiency (cumulative 70.63% 30 days). Rapid plant growth trials demonstrated that functionality could reduce amount applied by about 70%. These performances due combination chemical cross-linking (chemical bonding) between PVA/CS molecular chains, hydrogen bonding AL, PVA, CS molecules, aggregation AL. This provided green efficient strategy application dual functions mulching slow fertilizer.

Agricultural mulching is an important input for modern agricultural production and plays role in guaranteeing food security worldwide. At present, polyethylene (PE) still commonly used most countries around the world, which non-biodegradable, years of have caused serious white pollution. Lignin one three major components plant cell walls, it also main renewable natural aromatic compounds nature. Lignin-based composite film materials are green, biodegradable, show good prospects development field mulch. This paper introduces types, structure, application status lignin, summarizes preparation lignin-based its latest research progress, focuses on methods, examples mulching, looks forward to future mulching.
