Abstract Over the past three decades, plasmonic nanostructures, particularly spherical ones, have seen remarkable advancements. Recently, attention has shifted toward anisotropic nanoparticles, especially star‐shaped/branched structures such as nanostars (PNS), due to their distinct properties. PNS offers superior electromagnetic enhancement effects, larger surface areas, and well non‐linear unusual photothermal properties, setting them apart from counterparts. Despite significant progress in synthetic methods characterization of particles, challenges remain transitioning technology into practical use. In this perspective article, distinctive attributes biosensing applications are discussed, beginning with an exploration synthesis methodologies. Their optoelectronic properties examined discussed how these influence interaction different molecules a perspective. With focus on PNS, detailed insights offered unique current applications, future potential. By fostering discussion understanding development, article aims facilitate translation encouraging targeted improvements

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) plays a pivotal role in the inflammatory response of diabetic wounds, providing critical insights for clinicians development personalized treatment strategies. However, low concentration IL-6 biological samples, coupled with presence numerous interfering substances, poses significant challenge its rapid and accurate detection. Herein, we present dual-mode microfluidic platform integrating electrochemical (EC) surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) to achieve timely highly reliable quantification IL-6. Efficient binding between antibody-conjugated SERS nanoprobes is obtained through square-wave micromixer nonleaky obstacles, forming sandwich immunocomplexes capture antibodies on working electrode detection area, enabling acquisition both EC signals. This demonstrates excellent selectivity sensitivity, limits 0.085 0.047 pg/mL modes, respectively. Importantly, by incorporating neural network (NN) self-attention (SA) mechanism evaluate relative weights data from achieves quantitative accuracy up 99.8% across range 0.05–1000 pg/mL, demonstrating performance at concentrations. Moreover, NN-enhanced effectively detects wound exudates results that align closely clinical data. integrated offers promising potential cytokines.

Photothermal Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) aims to convert carbon monoxide (CO) into value-added long-chain hydrocarbons (C5+) under milder conditions, but the efficient C-C coupling of C1 intermediates remains challenging. Herein, a carbon-supported plasmonic CoRu5@C catalyst has been successfully constructed for promoting coupling. Experimental results demonstrate that ambient pressure and photothermal conditions at 250 °C, exhibits C5+ selectivity 98.9% FTS activity 321.4 mmol gcat-1 h-1.
