Recently, supramolecular coordination complexes (SCCs) based on photosensitizers as bridging ligands have attracted great attention in cancer therapy owing to their synergistic effect between photodynamic (PDT) and chemotherapy. Herein, a highly emissive platinum triangle BTZPy-Pt novel type of photosensitizer BTZPy with thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) was fabricated. The exhibited strong luminescence emission the visible range high quantum yields (quantum (QYs) for were about 78 62% ethanol solutions, respectively). Additionally, had been proved be an excellent superior 1O2 generation capability (the yield reached up ca. 95%) PDT. By combination phototoxicity antitumor activity Pt center, demonstrated efficient anticancer performance toward HeLa cells (IC50: 0.5 μg mL–1). This study not only provides blueprint fabricate new types but also paves way design SCCs

Abstract Aromatic architectures able to capture, store and release singlet oxygen have sparked the interest of scientific community as an attractive strategy generate oxygen. Among these structures, anthracenes are efficient batteries with applications in various fields such chemistry, materials science or medicine. Until now, studies mainly focused on symmetrical 9,10‐disubstituted bearing (hetero)aryl groups substituted alkyne motifs. In this work, we investigated unsymmetrical anthracene molecules explore their propensity trap Kinetic confirmed impact electron‐rich electron‐deficient substituents photooxygenation step triggered by thermolysis endoperoxides.
