The Mediterranean diet is considered one of the most worldwide healthy dietary patterns thanks to a combination foods rich mainly in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory nutrients. Many studies have demonstrated strong inverse relationship between high level adherence some chronic diseases (such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, etc.) cancer. Given its protective effects reducing oxidative inflammatory processes cells avoiding DNA damages, cell proliferation, their survival, angiogenesis, inflammations metastasis, powerful manageable method fight cancer incidence. aim this narrative review was determine magnitude interaction more widespread types so give first useful overview on identifying, with nutritional approach, those nutrients able reduce

The epithelium and immune compartment in the intestine are constantly exposed to a fluctuating external environment. Defective communication between these compartments at this barrier surface underlies susceptibility infections chronic inflammation. Environmental factors play significant, but mechanistically poorly understood, role intestinal homeostasis. We found that regeneration of epithelial cells (IECs) upon injury through infection or chemical insults was profoundly influenced by environmental sensor aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR). IEC-specific deletion Ahr resulted failure control C. rodentium due unrestricted stem cell (ISC) proliferation impaired differentiation, culminating malignant transformation. AHR activation dietary ligands restored homeostasis, protected niche, prevented tumorigenesis via transcriptional regulation Rnf43 Znrf3, E3 ubiquitin ligases inhibit Wnt-β-catenin signaling restrict ISC proliferation. There is evidence that diet and nutrition are modifiable risk factors for several cancers, but associations may be flawed due to inherent biases. Nutritional epidemiology studies have largely relied on a single assessment of using food frequency questionnaires. We conduct an umbrella review meta-analyses observational evaluate the strength validity association between food/nutrient intake developing or dying from 11 primary cancers. It estimated only few cancer supported by strong highly suggestive meta-analytic evidence, future similar research unlikely change this evidence. Alcohol consumption positively associated with postmenopausal breast, colorectal, esophageal, head & neck liver cancer. Consumption dairy products, milk, calcium wholegrains inversely colorectal risk. Coffee skin basal cell carcinoma.
