Abstract
Background
The
rapid
aging
of
the
global
population
has
intensified
chronic
disease
burdens,
widened
healthcare
access
disparities,
and
increased
unmet
care
needs.
Internet‑based
services
(IHS)
offer
a
potential
solution
to
these
challenges.
This
study
assessed
prevalence
IHS
use,
its
key
determinants,
main
motivations
barriers
among
adults
aged
≥
50
years
in
mainland
China.
Methods
An
online
survey
China
was
conducted
March
2021.
Participants
(N
=
500)
were
recruited
via
an
automated
random‑sampling
procedure
on
platform.
Logistic
regression
models
used
examine
predisposing,
need,
enabling
factors
associated
with
use.
Results
Only
17.14%
respondents
reported
using
IHS,
medical
consultation
being
most
common
(38.5%).
