Animal research is considered a key element in advance of biomedical science. Although its use controversial and raises ethical challenges, the contribution animal models medicine essential for understanding physiopathology novel treatment alternatives several human diseases. Current pandemics’ pathology, such as 2019 Coronavirus disease, has been studied primate, rodent, porcine to recognize infection routes develop therapeutic protocols. Worldwide issues diabetes, obesity, neurological disorders, pain, rehabilitation medicine, surgical techniques require studying process different species before testing them on humans. Due their relevance, this article aims discuss importance diverse lines by analyzing contributions various utilized science over past five years about topics concerning health.

Acupuncture, as a traditional treatment, has been extensively used in China for thousands of years. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), acupuncture is recommended treatment 77 diseases. And 16 these diseases are related inflammatory pain. As combination and modern electrotherapy, electroacupuncture (EA) satisfactory analgesic effects on various acute chronic Because its good no side effects, widely accepted all over world. Despite increase number studies, mechanisms via which exerts have not conclusively established. A literature review research great significance elaborate inform further directions. We elucidated action pain from two levels: peripheral central. It includes periphery (immune cells neurons, purinergic pathway, nociceptive ion channel, cannabinoid receptor endogenous opioid peptide system) central nervous system (TPRV1, glutamate receptors, glial cells, GABAergic interneurons signaling molecules). In this review, we collected relevant recent studies systematically explain treating pain, with view providing direction future applications promoting clinical development.

As one of the commonly used therapies for pain-related diseases in clinical practice, electroacupuncture (EA) has been proven to be effective. In chronic pain, neurons anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) have reported hyperactive, while mechanism by which cannabinoid type 1 receptors (CB1Rs) ACC are involved EA-mediated analgesic mechanisms remains elucidated. this study, we investigated potential central EA analgesia. A combination techniques was detect expression and function CB1R, including quantitative real-time PCR (q-PCR), western blot (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), vivo multichannel optical fibre recording, neuronal activity examined two-photon imaging electrophysiological recording. We found that hyperactivity pyramidal during inflammatory pain is associated with impairment endocannabinoid system. at Zusanli acupoint (ST36) can reduce exert effects increasing ligands anandamide (AEA), 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) CB1R.
