This study addresses the level of hopelessness experienced by last-year students at a faculty veterinary medicine. Moreover, it identifies factors behind this emotion. A face-to-face questionnaire was administered to 238 from 2017 2021. The included questions about sociodemographic and other characteristics, along with Beck Hopelessness Scale. Data analysis descriptive statistics, factor analysis, chi-square tests. findings suggested that nearly 60% respondents hopelessness. also revealed significant relation between levels variables such as year, gender, expected time first employment, psychological status. results current state mental health is worrying for therefore future veterinarians. For reason, can be argued steps taken towards solution in education periods are required.

Various stressors contribute to veterinary students’ stress levels. According the medical education literature, seems increase during clinical training, but research investigating this in students is scarce. transactional theory, individual may not perceive every stressor as equally stressful. Background Although the issue of high mental health burden among veterinarians is well-documented in previous studies, little known about specific occupational stress factors associated with issues. Therefore, aims this study were twofold: (1) to assess within veterinary profession, a particular emphasis on comparing expectations students experiences practicing and (2) link experienced indicators veterinarians. Veterinary students may be at risk for experiencing mental health concerns. Some scholars have suggested that maladaptive perfectionism is a contributing factor, although little research has examined this empirically. The main objectives of study were to explore the relationships between perfectionistic cognitions, self-compassion, and psychological distress among 472 Doctor Medicine (DVM) in United States. reported more frequent cognitions than normative non-clinical sample college students. Background This study aimed to provide a detailed analysis of the pandemic’s impact on veterinary profession and education in Austria. Despite the widespread implementation of embedded counseling models in veterinary training programs, limited information is available about students and house officers who seek help, researchers have not evaluated effectiveness services. This study sought to describe clients’ characteristics, presenting concerns, mental health histories, addition determining if participating was associated with decreases psychological distress. The sample included 437 Doctor Veterinary Medicine (DVM) receiving services between August 2016 March 2024 at a public university Midwestern United States. Approximately half were first-year when they initially accessed most common concerns stress, anxiety, depression, academic performance, perfectionism, self-esteem/confidence, attention/concentration difficulties, mood instability, sleep adjustment, family issues, career eating/body image specific relationship problems. DVM reported higher scores on some, but all, measures distress prior counseling, compared normative college seeking centers. However, these differences tended be small magnitude.
