Although food labeling on packages is crucial for promoting a healthy diet, limited research has been conducted how the COVID-19 pandemic (hereinafter "the pandemic") affected awareness. Therefore, this study aims to analyze changes in trends awareness, comprehension, and usage South Korea during pandemic. We utilized nationwide, large-scale, long-term dataset provided by Community Health Survey (KCHS) from 2014 2022 (total = 1,756,847 participants). This allowed researchers assess prevalence of usage. Furthermore, we investigated factors associated with awareness specifically related In total, adults (54.19% women) participated study. The upward slope overall became less pronounced even exhibited downward (βdiff - 1.759; 95% CI 1.874 1.644). comprehension more (comprehension: βdiff 0.535; 0.436-0.634; usage: 0.693; 0.601-0.785). vulnerability lower included older age, male, obesity, residing rural areas, household income, educational level, smoking, increased alcohol consumption. analyzed 9-year trend based nationally representative data 2022. Vaccine-associated rheumatic diseases are rare but one of the most feared adverse drug reactions (ADRs). However, this topic has been investigated less with large-scale data in literature. With rapid progress development and approval vaccines during pandemic, public concerns regarding their safety have raised. To assess global regional burden, long-term trends, potential risk factors vaccines-associated six types (ankylosing spondylitis [AS], polymyalgia rheumatica [PMR], rheumatoid arthritis [RA], Sjögren's syndrome, Systemic lupus erythematosus [SLE], scleroderma), study conducted disproportionality analysis based on reports from World Health Organization International Pharmacovigilance Database documented between 1967 2023 (n for total = 131 255 418) across 156 countries territories. We estimated reporting odds ratio (ROR) information component (IC) to determine signal diseases. Of 198 046 all-cause diseases, 14 703 vaccine-associated were identified. While counts gradually increased over time globally, we observed a dramatic increase after 2020, potentially due large portion COVID-19 mRNA The was pronounced HBV (ROR, 4.11; IC

Abstract Previous studies have examined the prevalence of allergic diseases in adolescents 1–2 years after emergence COVID-19 pandemic. However, more data is needed to understand long-term impact on diseases. Thus, we aimed examine trend atopic dermatitis Korean before and during pandemic across 14 years. BACKGROUND Despite several studies on self-evaluation of health and body shape, existing research the risk factors self-perceived overweight is insufficient, especially during COVID-19 pandemic. OBJECTIVE This study aims to identify affecting examine how prevalence has changed before Specifically, we analyzed impact altered lifestyles due this phenomenon. METHODS The data used in were obtained from middle high school students who participated Korean Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey (N=1,189,586). survey was a 2-stage stratified cluster sampling representative South adolescents. We grouped results by year estimated slope pandemic using weighted linear regression, as well tendencies according various factors. ratios for overweight. In addition, conducted comparisons different periods their associations with RESULTS much higher than BMI-based among 1,189,586 participants (grade 7-12) 2005 2022 (female participants: n=577,102, 48.51%). Arthritis often results in unmet healthcare needs for older adults with cognitive decline, who may struggle to communicate pain or recall symptoms. However, the risk factors arthritis this group remain underexplored. We addressed gap by identifying and comparing among varying statuses. Data from 334 participants decline 808 normal cognition were analysed using Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging, tracking diagnoses over 12 years Kaplan–Meier curves Cox proportional hazards regression. Results showed 47.6% developed arthritis, compared 30.1% cognition. Key included depressive symptoms (hazard ratio [HR]: 1.87), living alone (HR: 1.66), infrequent social interactions 1.42), greater dependency daily activities 1.41). In group, additional chronic illnesses 1.41) higher body mass index 1.09) significant factors. Understanding these distinct is crucial preventing managing at groups. Moreover, findings can assist developing comprehensive public health strategies integrating mental support improve outcomes decline.
