Abstract The pursuit of sustainable energy utilization arouses increasing interest in efficiently producing durable battery materials and catalysts with minimum environmental impact. As green, safe, cheap eutectic mixtures, deep solvents (DESs) provide tremendous opportunities open up attractive perspectives as charge transfer reaction media for electrochemical storage conversion (EESC). In this review, the fundamental properties DESs are first summarized. Then, important roles that play various EESC technologies including advanced electrolytes batteries/supercapacitors, preparation electrode catalysts, extracting agents recycling systematically reviewed. A particular focus is placed on understanding structure–composition–property–performance relationships. Finally, challenges controllable design applications future developments presented. This review expected to shed light developing next‐generation systems.
