Age-related diseases are associated with increased morbidity in the past few decades and cost treatment of these age-related exerts a substantial impact on social health care expenditure. Anti-aging strategies aim to mitigate, delay reverse aging-associated diseases, thereby improving quality life reducing burden pathologies. The natural dietary antioxidant supplementation offers pharmacological therapeutic effects against various disease conditions. Astaxanthin is one such carotenoid superior activity than other carotenoids, as well vitamins C E, additionally, it known exhibit plethora effects. present review summarizes protective molecular mechanisms actions astaxanthin multiple organs Neurodegenerative [Alzheimer's (AD), Parkinson's (PD), Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Status Epilepticus (SE)], Bone Related Diseases [Osteoarthritis (OA) Osteoporosis], Cancers [Colon cancer, Prostate Breast Lung Cancer], Cardiovascular disorders [Hypertension, Atherosclerosis Myocardial infarction (MI)], Diabetes complications [Diabetic nephropathy (DN), Diabetic neuropathy, retinopathy (DR)], Eye [Age related macular degeneration (AMD), Dry eye (DED), Cataract Uveitis], Gastric Disorders [Gastritis, Colitis, Functional dyspepsia], Kidney [Nephrolithiasis, Renal fibrosis, Ischemia reperfusion (RIR), Acute kidney injury (AKI), hyperuricemia], Liver [Nonalcoholic fatty liver (NAFLD), Alcoholic Disease (AFLD), Hepatic Ischemia-Reperfusion (IR) Injury], Pulmonary [Pulmonary Fibrosis, (ALI), Chronic obstructive pulmonary (COPD)], Muscle (skeletal muscle atrophy), Skin [Atopic dermatitis (ATD), Photoaging, Wound healing]. We have also briefly discussed astaxanthin's reproductive health.

Alcoholic liver injury is mainly caused by long-term excessive alcohol consumption and has become a global public threat to human health. It well known that Ganoderma lucidum excellent beneficial effects on function lipid metabolism. The object of this study was investigate the hepatoprotective ganoderic acid A (GAA, one main triterpenoids in G. lucidum) against alcohol-induced reveal underlying mechanisms its protective effects. results showed oral administration GAA significantly inhibited abnormal elevation index, serum total triglyceride (TG), cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) alanine (ALT) mice exposed intake, also protected accumulation pathological changes. Besides, oxidative stress ameliorated dietary intervention through decreasing hepatic levels lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) malondialdehyde (MDA), increasing activities catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), (ADH), aldehyde (ALDH), glutathione (GSH). In addition, evidently intestinal microbial disorder markedly abundance Muribaculaceae, Prevotellaceae, Jeotgalicoccus, Bilophila, Family_XIII_UCG_001, Aerococcus, Ruminococcaceae_UCG_005, Harryflintia, Christensenellaceae, Rumonpcpccaceae, Prevotelaceae_UCG_001, Clostridiales_vadinBB60_group, Parasutterella Bifidobacterium, but proportion Lactobacillus, Burkholderia_Caballeroria_Paraburkholderia, Escherichia_Shigella Erysipelatoclostridium. Furthermore, metabolomics based UPLC-QTOF/MS demonstrated had significant regulatory effect composition metabolites especially biomarkers involved metabolic pathways riboflavin metabolism, glycine, serine threonine pyruvate glycolysis/gluconeogenesis, biosynthesis unsaturated fatty acids, synthesis degradation ketone bodies, fructose mannose Moreover, supplementation regulated mRNA metabolism inflammatory response related genes. Conclusively, these findings demonstrate alleviating expected new functional food ingredient for prevention alcoholic injury.

As a carotenoid originally used as pigment in the aquaculture industry, astaxanthin is gaining interest food, nutritional, and biopharmaceutical sciences recent years due to its great antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties, well health effects on diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, so on. However, poor chemical stability water solubility make practical applications of human become challenging. Nanoencapsulation considered possible solution tackle such challenges by improving stability, providing controlled release, thus enhancing bioaccessibility bioavailability. In this article, an updated overview chemistry, sources, extraction methods provided. Moreover, studies were introduced then progress preparation various nanoparticles for encapsulation are highlighted. This perspective article aims provide guidance potential structural designs nanoencapsulation functionality.

Deltamethrin (DLM) is a widely used and highly effective insecticide. DLM exposure harmful to animal human. Quail, as bird model, has been in the field of toxicology. However, there little information available literature about quail cerebrum damage caused by DLM. Here, we investigated effect on neurons. Four groups healthy quails were assigned (10 each group), respectively given 0, 15, 30, 45 mg/kg gavage for 12 weeks. Through measurements cerebrum, it was found that induced obvious histological changes, oxidative stress, neurons apoptosis. To further explore possible molecular mechanisms, performed real-time quantitative PCR detect expression endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-related mRNA such glucose regulated protein 78 kD, activating transcription factor 6, inositol requiring enzyme, kinase RNA (PKR)-like ER kinase. In addition, detected ATP content evaluate functional status mitochondria. The study showed significantly increased decreased tissues. These results suggest chronic induces apoptosis via promoting stress mitochondrial dysfunction. Furthermore, our provide novel explanation DLM-induced avian
