Phosphorus is regarded as a promising material for high-performance lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to its high theoretical capacity, appropriate lithiation potential, and low diffusion barrier. Phosphorus/carbon composites (PC) are engineered serve high-capacity high-rate anodes; the interaction between phosphorus carbon, long-term capacity retention, safety problems important issues that must be well addressed simultaneously. Herein, an in situ polymerization approach fabricate poly-melamine-hybridized (pMA) phosphorus/carbon composite (pMA-PC) employed. The pMA hybridization enhances density electrical conductivity of PC, improves structural integrity, facilitates stable electron transfer within pMA-PC composite. Moreover, exhibits efficient adsorption lithium polysulfides, enabling transport Li

Abstract This theoretical study employs first‐principles density functional calculations to investigate the adsorption mechanisms of dinitrogen on C n P clusters ( ≤ 3), comparing them with pure carbon under identical conditions. Surprisingly, energy nitrogen is generally lower than that clusters, which contradicts conventional expectations based solely carbon. Intriguingly, instances occur where exceeds clusters. Notably, reveals even a dimer can completely dissociate dinitrogen, suggesting its potential as catalyst. Examining various cluster sizes, including dimers, trimers, and tetramers, research elucidates how configurations orientations adsorbed molecules significantly impact properties. These insights underscore efficient catalysts for breaking strong triple bond dinitrogen. delivers unexpected findings contribute field catalysis offers novel perspective fixation processes. The observed variations in highlight intricate interplay between size, orientation, behavior. Our work advances fundamental understanding demonstrating their promising role developing energy‐efficient

Elemental phosphorus exhibits a remarkable diversity of allotropes, including black, white, and violet phosphorus, each with unique structural electronic properties. Recently, has experienced renaissance in scientific interest for its potential applications across various fields. Among these, the red (RP) possesses considerable variety stacking configurations. By analyzing preference P21 building block Type II, IV, V RP we proposed novel butterfly connected scheme. This new structure's stability was well confirmed by ab initio calculations. It is characterized as semiconductor band gap 1.4 eV, exhibiting appearance. Additionally, this structure demonstrates ferroelectric behavior, making it an instance single-element materials. Furthermore, our investigation chain-type structures within carbon nanotubes (CNTs) revealed that type connection scheme represents lowest energy configuration specifically sized CNTs.

Phosphorus is considered an ideal anode material for lithium ion storage by virtue of its high theoretical capacity and moderate lithiation potential. However, issues such as large volume expansion phosphorus leading to electrical loss contact instability the solid electrolyte interface hinder practical performance. Improvement strategies that can effectively suppress provide stable contacts are urgently needed. Herein, introduction a carbon nanotube cross-linked microstructure into polyimide coating layer, high-modulus layer constructed fast conductive network. The prepared dual-cross-linked phosphorus–carbon composites exhibit excellent cycling stability high-rate After 500 cycles at current density 1 A g–1, it still specific 1467.68 mAh with retention rate 87.28%. And even 10 1450.72 g–1.
