Abstract Nanotechnology in modern endodontics involves manipulating materials at the nanoscale to improve dental treatments, disinfection, imaging, and tissue engineering. This narrative review aims evaluate impact applications of nanotechnology endodontics, focusing on advancements materials, disinfection processes, imaging techniques, engineering while addressing associated challenges safety concerns. A comprehensive literature search was conducted March 2024 across PubMed, SCOPUS, EMBASE, COCHRANE Library, Science Direct databases using MeSH terms/keywords such as “Nanotechnology,” “Endodontics,” “Disinfection,” “Dental Tissue Engineering.” Articles published from 2010 were considered, with inclusion criteria studies relevant objectives. From an initial pool 774 articles, 86 selected based titles abstracts, 45 shortlisted after full-text evaluation. The highlights significant endodontic methods, Nanomaterials have improved efficiency, precision, biocompatibility treatments. However, long-term biocompatibility, standardization applications, patient remain be addressed. Continuous research, ethical practices, regulatory oversight are crucial for integrating into endodontics. While offers promising ongoing research collaboration among researchers, clinicians, bodies essential harness its full potential ensure safety. Limitations this include biases article selection evolving nature research.
