Abstract Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising cancer treatment that uses photosensitizers (PSs) to generate cytotoxic reactive oxygen species (ROS) under light, but improving its efficacy crucial for clinical applications. To address this, we propose smart nanoplatform (P@BAO-DOX) synergistic chemo-photodynamic therapy, featuring efficient PDT, controllable drug release, and fluorescence imaging guidance. We designed an aggregation-induced emission (AIE)-based PS (BAO) with effective ROS generation NIR-II fluorescence. Additionally, BAO as doxorubicin (DOX) chemo were encapsulated in pH-responsive nanogels (PNA) obtain P@BAO-DOX nanogels. Upon uptake by tumor cells, the nanogel releases drugs acidic conditions, leading cell death. White light irradiation further triggers produce substantial ROS, enhancing phototoxicity chemo-PDT therapy. Thus, nanogels, nanoplatform, offer precise release imaging-guided showing promise advancing treatment.

Background: Influenza A (H1N1) virus is a highly contagious respiratory disease that causes severe illness and death. Vaccines antiviral drugs are limited by viral variation drug resistance, so developing efficient integrated theranostic options appears significant in anti-influenza infection. Methods: In this study, we designed fabricated covalent organic framework (COF) based platforms (T705@DATA-COF-Pro), which was composed of an RNA polymerase inhibitor (favipiravir, T705), the carboxyl-enriched COF (DATA-COF) nano-carrier Cy3-labeled single DNA (ssDNA) probe. Results: The multi-porosity core provided excellent micro-environment smooth delivery for T705. ssDNA probe coating bound to nucleic acids H1N1 selectively, thus controlling release allowing fluorescence imaging. combination triggered synergism, promoting further therapeutic outcomes. With aid T705@DATA-COF-Pro platforms, H1N1-infected mouse models lightly achieved diagnosis significantly prolonged survival. Conclusion: This research underscores distinctive benefits immense potential materials nano-preparations infection, offering novel avenues detection treatment Keywords: crystal porous materials, microenvironment-responsive, controlled release, imaging, therapy
