Abstract Accurate assessment of food freshness is critical to maintaining human health. However, the complex environment usually leads false‐positive measurements result. Therefore, development sensing platforms with self‐calibration for accurate detection in environments essential. Here, using green fluorescence‐emitting FITC‐ene and red DBA‐ene‐Eu 3+ as fluorescent units, polymeric materials P1‐P4 excitation wavelength‐dependent (254 365 nm, matched standard UV lamp) emission are prepared. responded rapidly biogenic amines (BAs). Among them, P3 exhibits widest linear range, most noticeable fluorescence color change (from orange‐red yellow‐green) under 254 nm enhanced excitation. The changes P3‐prepared labels at different wavelengths can be utilized evaluate food's freshness. Furthermore, by a smartphone read Red/Green/Blue values labels, total volatile basic nitrogen (TVBN) output quantitatively freshness, TVBN mutual calibration improve accuracy estimation results. This self‐calibrating platform fast nondestructive, which provides an effective method evaluation

Abstract The strong electrophilicity of arylpyrylium salts was recognized for the colorimetric detection vital amine analytes, limited to ammonia or methylamines and putrescine as biogenic amine. This report presents conformationally twisted, electrophilic triphenylamine-linked 2,4,6-tristyryl pyrylium salt PyTPA a single dye sense various aliphatic/aromatic amines, nicotine, guanidine rapidly in nanomolar concentrations. unexplored styrylpyrylium design offers specific electronic conjugations, steric/geometric constraints with hydrophobicity, decent thermal/photostability, facilitating precise diverse amines unique fashions. deep-violet solution/solid responded remarkably at 298 K quick decoloration against putrescine, cadaverine, spermidine, spermine, histamines, serotonin, 2-phenylethylamine. Further, this could detect nicotine 313 distinctively diminished absorption unexpected red-shifted emission enhancement. Variation mechanistic path is detecting holding mono/di-NH 2 groups short/ long alkane chains, elucidated by mass, 1 H-NMR, FT-IR, SEM, PXRD, XPS studies. notable these different phases employed onsite applications fresh chicken tuna. Nicotine natural tobacco leaves identified. Such provides promising advancements class molecules biologically significant amines.

The discriminative detection of volatile primary aliphatic diamines (VPADs) is a relevant and timely issue. This paper explores the distinctive optical features H-type J-type aggregates on paper-based (PB) films, namely H-PB J-PB respectively, Lewis acidic Zn(salen)-type complex upon chemisorption vapors ditopic VPADs versus those monotopic amines. While bases give rise to mono-adducts accompanied by enhancement fluorescence, in contrast, act as forming di-adducts with distinct properties, leading fluorescence quenching. behavior enables sensitive VPAD from monoamines. For example, for ethylenediamine (EDA), using achieved LOD down 6.6 ppm, lower than OSHA permissible exposure limit 10 ppm EDA, linear dynamic range up 100 ppm. Instead, films enable EDA at higher concentrations (up 3000 ppm) linearity 1000 Thus, combination both represents unique example such wide concentration range.
